I hired Men's Legal Center for a very complicated family court case. The people that work there are really supportive and caring, and I felt that I had been properly guided throughout this difficult process. My ex had taken my son away and I had no idea where they were, but luckily MLC was able to track them down and find my son. Great people. I’m still going though with my wife divorce who cheated on me and found out she’s married to someone else which I have filed annulment against it and I see great results already. My experience with child custody has been a slight nightmare in and out of the Court room.Finally running into Men's Legal Center was the best thing I could have done for my child custody case. I want to publicly thank Men's Legal Center for their help and assistance on my legal issue. This was the second time they helped me with a similar issues, and the office was very professional both times. My case may have been different in some ways, but both times they finished the job for less than the retainer amount. Trish is also very much a "hands off" paralegal, meaning she didn't spend a lot of "extra" time on my account, only working on my case when there was forward momentum. My $75 initial consultation was for 30-45 minutes, during which my case was thoroughly evaluated. I met with Craig Candelore the main attorney in charge of Men's Legal Center. I was prepared with a simple matter regarding filing a request for order (RFO), a motion and needed help with reviewing my self prepared documentation to make it better. Craig helped me review my case and unique circumstances. I was happy with the results he provided and the legal analysis he gave. I would recommend that new visitors be thoroughly prepared with facts and paperwork to help identify exactly what you need help which will maximize your time and value. I was given Cadillac service and treated with respect , and understood more about how family law affects men, than before I came in. Craig was encouraging, thoughtful and supportive. Men's Legal Center has more than exceeded my expectations in my divorce case. The attorneys here are exceptional to say the least. Gerald, Howard, Craig and James have all been there for me in these difficult times they stuck by my side through my financial hardship they believed in me and they continue to have the up most concern for men's rights. They helped me to protect my children from mothers domestic violence situation with a boyfriend and have always had my children's safety in their utmost concern. I'll start by saying that Dianne Jones truly became my Guardian Angel! In regards to my divorce case that has lasted several years without an end in sight prior to her arrival. I've had several other paralegals and a couple of attorneys that I would honestly say were not looking to put in the work to finally bring my case to closure. At least that's how it seemed from my perspective. I would honestly say that it wasn't because Mens Legal Center was lacking in ethic or knowledge, but seemed like they chose to sit on my case doing nothing due to my ex's attorneys dictating the pace. I was extremely frustrated with Mens Legal for this. Ok.. I'll fast forward to Dianne Jones arrival and assume ownership with my case.. She introduced herself to me aggressively and said she would fix everything that the others couldn't. I was not a believer cause I've heard that before from the other attorneys and paralegals. But boy was I wrong!! Dianne Jones with Mr. , took charge of my case and forced my ex's attorneys to get off their butts and finish the case. AND.. they actually got me an AWSOME deal in the divorce that made me proud to have them represent me. I will always thank Dianne Jones and her team for bringing closer to my case without surprises. My divorce has been closed and finalized since June 2016. Well, recently I had an issue with one of the ID card places on a military base not knowing on how to read my divorce decree that I received from the Men's Legal Center, do to the paperwork supposedly missing a key signature and the base ID place denying me the service. I was stumped at first on how to fix my paperwork but I decided to take a chance and email Dianne Jones and ask about the supposedly missing signature. I was hesitant do to Dianne and her firm no longer represented me, but I had no one else to go to for my issue. I emailed Dianne Jones explaining my circumstances and to my surprise she responded the next day telling me she will look into it to ensure I had all the signatures I needed. She also reassured me that I did in fact have all the signatures that needed to be on the paperwork. But Dianne Jones went the extra mile and got me a "CERTIFIED" copy of my divorce decree from the court and mailed it to me. SERIOUSLY I did not expect her to do that. I expected her to give me some advice only do to the fact that I was NOT a client. But she took the time to help me out with the issue and not ask for anything in return. I wholeheartedly recommend the Men's Legal Center. Try to pick the right attorney up front. It will save you a lot of headaches.  For those in a rush here is the synopsis.  I had a very ugly divorce and if it were not for Men's Legal Center I may not have survived.  I have no problems giving Men's Legal Center and Craig A. Candelore the highest rating you can give!  Read on for more details on how Men's Legal Center worked for me, and can for you too.A divorce a lot different than getting the oil changed on your car (LOL). Divorces are stressful, and you need people working with you that will help with your paperwork, the legal and personal issues involved with a divorce, and properly present your case in court:First, in a divorce if either party does not cooperate it is going to be painful for all parties. If you go through a divorce you really have to do your homework and work up your case in addition to picking the right lawyer. Yes, try to pick the right lawyer up front.Second, in a divorce you need a lawyer that will work for you and with you.Third, a divorce can either be a battle royal as mine was or a place where both parties agree. In either case at the Men's Legal Center the staff will take care of you and help come up with a battle plan up front (yes, you need to be ready for battle even in a "friendly" divorce).Lastly, and most important you are treated like a person from the moment you walk in the door till well after your final paper work is signed. I still regularly get emails, and other correspondence from the Men's Legal Center keeping me up to date providing me with useful information.Craig A. Candelore, at Men's Legal Center was lawyer number five, yes #4, in my long protracted SIX YEAR divorce. I got no cooperation from my Ex. This made Craig A. Candelore's job all that more difficult as he was the last lawyer on my case and there was a lot of water under the bridge when he took over. He want trial with me.Okay so what is so good about  the Men's Legal Center and why would I recommend them to my friends:1.     They are efficient and effective.2.     They keep up to date with current California case law. Yes, there is always new law coming down.3.     You are hiring a team. Your case is a team effort. The office is large enough that you get synergism.4.     MLC has over 100 years of combined practice experience. You are not just getting the benefit of one lawyer but the brain power of many attorneys i.e. access to a wealth of knowledge.5.      Everything at the Men's Legal Center has a personal touch. I was treated like a human being.6.     They did not nickel and dime me to death. I remember one of the lawyers, prior to MLC, billing me a minimum of $25 every time they called me however short the call or trivial.7.     On the same note as not nickel and diming you to death, MLC will do its best to save you money. My first consultation was free, since I was Military, and it lasted close to an hour and a half8.     MLC wants what is best for you. You are encouraged to reconcile, especially if there are kids involved. Candelore inquired if there was a change of reconciliation. In my case, I was committed to the divorce and there was not the thought of reconciliation.Picking the right attorney up front will save you a lot of headaches and again is why I recommend you try the lawyers and staff at the Men's Legal Center. Ive been dealing with issues in regards to my son and my ex not letting me get time to see him until I decided to go through the proper legal channels.
