At the root of virtually every business challenge, we believe there will be a communication, behavioural or relationship problem. These intractable problems take up considerable management time and energy. They are, at best, a distraction and, at worst, devastating to an organisation, especially if the difficulty lies at Board level.

Our technical and coaching skills allow us to teach individuals and teams to develop and improve their own 'tough skills'. Some people call these 'soft skills', implying they are easy, less intellectual and therefore somehow less valuable and less important than technical or financial skills. We beg to differ: Bad communication, difficult relationships and poorly performing individuals or teams can foil the best strategies and cleverest plans.

In reality, the 'tough skills' are the hardest skills to understand, learn and master. This was our absolute driver for starting Disruptive Coaching.

Group coaching helps participants develop awareness, understand team dynamics, focus on the implications of behaviours, commit to a common purpose and achieve goals faster.

Disruptive Coaching works with each team, over a series of 4 sessions, to create a ‘Team Charter’ to which all participants are fully committed. The coach holds everyone accountable and ensures all members are aligned and participating fully. The process enhances learning and builds effective, supportive relationships. The process helps to focus attention on complimentary skills, increases motivation and productivity and encourages mutual accountability.

We are delighted to able to offer PAPI™ psychometric testing to all participants to help ease understanding of each participants preferred learning skill and how to best work best together.

Grow6 is a truly transformational coaching program that provides participants with a safe space within which they can identify and consider their ‘limiting beliefs’. These are the beliefs which are constraining and limiting their ability to be the best possible version of themselves. We engage unique and innovative coaching techniques to allow participants to consider their decision making processes and preferred ways of operating. This combined with consideration of strengths and innovative methods of goal setting, allows participants to achieve outstanding development and lasting change over a relatively short period of time.

Integrate12 assists new senior hires to integrate quickly into their new role. A powerful program, proven to help new colleagues immediately feel valued by the organisation. It provides time to reflect on the new role and new skills which may be required. Participants consider existing skills and gain an understanding of how to leverage this existing experience to best advantage in their new environment. These reflections also shine a light on where there may be skills gaps and help to formulate plans to eliminate these gaps. Ultimately, this program provides your new hire with important insights into how best to establish themselves within your organisation and be much more quickly effective in their role.

Do all your Board members share the same vision and top three priorities? Is your Board playing to win versus playing not to lose?

Board Coaching is a specialist form of team coaching. We offer a program of 3 coaching sessions with the entire Board altogether. We understand that Board members’ often do not meet all together outside of Board meetings and so Initiate3 can be organised to run along-side monthly or quarterly Board meetings. We also know that Board members time is very valuable and so understand that coaching in this environment has to be highly impactful and firmly focused on value creation.

Initiate3 therefore focuses on identifying and aligning key Board priorities, strategy analysis and formulation and the exploration and development of corporate values. Board coaching is challenging, thoughtful, and direct. It is designed to encourage new ways of thinking and to shine a light in dark corners that may commonly be overlooked. Board coaching is not for the faint-hearted. Most coaching companies don't provide it for a reason; it can be difficult and most coaches have no experience of working at Board level. We are different. We have the experience and relish the challenge.

Additionally, if your Board needs more comprehensive assistance and development, we have separate modules on Governance and on Psychometric analysis which can be added to Initiate3. With our Governance module, one of the UK’s leading Corporate Governance experts joins us to incorporate a formal Board evaluation and a governance audit. Our psychometric analysis tool is widely recognised as a world leading analysis tool. This can be used for all members of the Board and then brought together to aid team building.

Our Adapt100 coaching program has been designed to ease the process of merging or integrating two organisations. For a successful corporate integration, it is critical to have a well-planned and structured process. Early identification and positioning of the key leadership team is imperative. Aligning that team and ensuring a shared vision and set of values is developed early in the process sets the scene for future success. But plans alone do not capture value.

This is a time of unique opportunity but also of challenge. Value is realised only through the sustained and collective actions of all. Building new teams at all levels with complementary skills and shared values gives the new organisation the opportunity to take full advantage of the benefits of the new investment. The consequences of not managing cultural change post-investment can be devastating and long-lasting.

Investors and senior executives know this and often worry about it. They worry about how the work force will react to the changes and how they can get their teams to work together. Some also worry about how they will be able to lead their people. And then there is the concern about retaining the company’s unique values and sense of identity.

These key issues are the focus of the Adapt100 coaching program. Our coaches provide both 1-1 and team coaching to assist with the process of integration. We also use PAPI™ psychometric testing to ensure the right people are in the right place with the best skill sets for their particular function. Adapt100 also aids the development of a new cultural identity and identify the behaviours necessary to embed the change fully.

Are you looking for new or additional investment? How could you increase the multiple you could achieve from an investor?

If a potential new investor walked into your organisation today would they want to invest? Would they find a cohesive team with everyone working together towards clear goals? Is there an obvious, clear route to profit?

New or evolving organisations often attract outside investors to grow and develop. Mature companies typically focus on management buyouts or buy-ins through Private Equity investors. Younger or early-stage funding may be gained from Venture Capital providers. With both of these methods, investors may also bring operational expertise, management skills and will often take a seat on the Board. This ‘active ownership’ approach usually involves a close working relationship between investor and management team in order to enhance the value in the business. This more intimate form of investment requires an in-depth analysis of the organisation prior to investment.

Evolve12-18 has been designed by members of our team with a Private Equity background to prepare management teams to attract outside investors at the highest organisational valuation. Most organisations think current financials are the key to attracting an investor. And, of course, this is indeed critical. However, the path to future profit will also be critical. And, as part of this, in-depth due diligence will highlight management and organisational complexities too. To ensure you maximize the value of your existing efforts, your teams will need to be high performing and aligned and your strategy will need to be clear and achievable.

This is our most in-depth, longest-term program. We work with each organisation for 12 to 18 months prior to their search for new investors. This is a totally bespoke service whose elements depend completely on the exact situation of the organisation looking to attract investment. It is likely to involve Board, team and 1-1 coaching. It may also involve an element of external PR to build the profile of the organisation prior to attracting an investor. To this end, and as part of Evolve12-18 we work with London’s top financial PR firm in the PE and VC space.
