We initially saw an ad on Facebook from DH Weddings, we got in touch and they arranged to come and meet us for a chat. After finding how friendly they were, and seeing a good range of their work, we just had to book them!
From our practice shoot right through to our first dance, they really put us at ease and produced some beautiful memories of our wedding day.
I'm not sure how we would have sailed through our day without them to be honest. Annette ended up lacing up my dress when my bridesmaids were still busy themselves. Without their great organisation at the formal group shots, we would have been late to sit down to our wedding breakfast, they just kept everything on track timing wise.
When you see them working together, it's obvious they have been doing this together for some time, they seemed to have some mind trick going on where one always knew what the other was doing.
We took advantage of paying for our album before the wedding, which brought us a discount on that.
So pleased we also booked their Photobooth for the evening, it meant we had them both with us, still clicking away, right up to the end of our evening reception.
We could not have asked for more, they genuinely exceeded our expectations. We're not planning on divorcing, but if we did get married again, both my husband and I would book them again!

We hired Ray and Annette for our wedding which was a bit unique in that we had a beach blessing abroad, but also had a small legal ceremony and a party for all our friends when we got back a few weeks apart. Despite us being a bit out of the ordinary Ray and Annette were really flexible and covered both the legal ceremony and party for us and also included a photo booth set up for the party. <br /><span id="moreReview704306" class="hide"> Ray and Annette were so professional, reliable, trustworthy and organised the whole way through from booking them right up until the events themselves and the handover of our photos. They stayed in contact at various points leading up to the events, explained everything really clearly and did absolutely everything that they said they would do in a timely manner. We really appreciated them guiding us through and not having to chase them on anything. <br /> One of the best things about Ray and Annetteâs service is that they are also really friendly people who made us feel really comfortable in front of the cameras. This was helped by them organising a practice shoot, which was included in the price and the photos from this were fantastic, an extra bonus that we didnât expect to get when we set out looking for a photographer. <br /> The fact that they work as a pair is brilliant too because not only did we have our lovely formal shots, we also had some brilliant natural shots where they captured moments that we probably would have missed at the time. We booked Ray and Annette for our wedding, we had an engagement shoot before the day which was useful as we could practice shots and how to stand. On the day itself they blended in well and took mostly informal shots which is what we wanted, they were very organised during the formal shots which meant not too much standing around. I initially booked DHWeddings because I already knew Annette, what a great choice it was! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Such a great number of things can make a great photograph, but especially with weddings, for us the answer is Trust. Our clients trust us to be in the right place at the right time to capture the right moment, they trust us to do all this from our years of working together as a photography duo, and from them spending time with us on their practice/engagement shoot.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
It's vital that we know what's important to them, what's their "must have" things to be captured, we want to know their vision for their day.
What do you love most about your job?
We absolutely love being an integral part of any couples most special day, knowing that we are capturing little moments that will bring memories when everything else from the wedding day is gone is so rewarding to us.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our love of photography, of photographing people and knowing that we could capture those moments that make everlasting memories.
