I’d thought about getting braces for over twenty years having refused to get them done while I was a teenager and I lived to regret this decision. My teeth were overcrowded and I felt that the problem was getting worse as I got older. I was turning 40 so decided it was now or never. I researched places offering braces in Glasgow and was put off by some of the quick fixes on offer. When I found Devonshire Dental’s website and read Allan Rennie credentials I felt confident enough to book a consultation. Allan was very honest and open about the pros and cons of various treatment options and this helped me to make the decision to have traditional orthodontic braces fitted to get the best possible results from both an aesthetic and long term oral health perspective. As a teacher I was worried that my speech may be affected or that people would stare but I can honestly say that very few people event noticed me wearing them most of the time. The process was relatively pain free and yes braces were uncomfortable and a little bit annoying at times but I was amazed at how quickly they became part of my daily routine and the eight months flew by. I am absolutely delighted with the final results and my teeth look so good that my husband has now had braces fitted by Allan and is on his way to a winning smile too. I can’t thank Allan and the team enough for making the whole experience so easy and worthwhile. Gerry has been my dentist for prob 30 years. I have never had a complaint. He is always kind, with a good sense of humour that always puts you at ease. He is highly professional and simply put a very skilled dentist. He has saved a few of my teeth when it seemed all was lost. He is a dental magician. The dental nurses, Louise and Joyce are amazing, so kind and superb at their jobs. Recently I’ve suffered from an inflammatory mouth condition which is very painful. I was so nervous going to the hygienist but Sarah and Joyce were brilliant. It is one thing to be good at your job, but it is another thing all together to execute it with compassion. I have recently had my braces taken off and I am really happy with the results, I honestly could not have asked for more. My teeth were always overcrowded and since I was young I always wanted straight teeth but never had them fixed . After searching and visiting almost all the orthodontist in Glasgow and always being told that the procedure was going to be long (2-3 yrs), my tooth could not be removed and my case is a special one - I was put off searching for the right orthodontist until I found Devonshire Dental Care. At Devonshire, Allan told me that the whole process will take 18 months (max) and I will have to get my tooth removed, I was so happy to hear that so I went ahead. I completely trusted Allan's judgement and decisions and felt very safe that he would and could fix my teeth. All the staff were very friendly and the customer service was second to none, everyone were very understanding and every visit flew by. I got used to my braces as if they were never there and after only 15 months the results were outstanding, me teeth were straighter each day and it was amazing to watch the transformation. I have just had my braces off and can't stop staring at my teeth. I'm so glad I finally decided go ahead with it. Allan made everything seem so straight forward, and it was. The seven months I had my braces on for just flew by. I was always seen on time for my check ups and Charlotte at the reception is really helpful with trying to accommodate your appointments. Allan and Jill were both so nice at my appointments that you felt as though you were just popping in for a chat and my wires and bands were changed over before I knew it. I am delighted with my teeth following 11 months of wearing lingual braces. Allan and the team were excellent throughout my treatment and eased any concerns I had before and during treatment. Before getting this brace I never wanted to smile and now my biggest regret is not having done it sooner. I am currently waiting on getting my teeth whitened which I am sure will make them look even better. Alan and his team have just finished my treatment for the last 12 months, having applied upper/lower braces. I had braces when I was in early teens, and now applying them again in early 40's at the Practice. Alan was careful to set my expectations on what outcome may be expected, and I can surely say he has delivered the required result. Very impressed with the overall experience and outcome, and never felt like a chore to visit on a monthly basis for check-ups. Delighted with my new smile. I had lingual braces fitted to my upper teeth in Feb 2017 by Allan. Five months later I had the braces removed and now have the smile I've always wanted. After a few orthodontic consultations, I went to Devonshire Dental for a free consultation to discuss braces. Allan was completely upfront and to the point with pricing and managing realistic expectations, which I really appreciated as this helped with my decision making. A month later I went to my second appointment to have X-rays and pictures and the rest is history! 10 months later I have perfectly straight teeth and I can't stop smiling! I had been looking to fix my teeth for years and after many disappointing consultations with other dentists who all told me different things and who were all so pushy and salesy- I was recommended Allan Rennie at Devonshire Dental by a few friends who had 6 month smile braces. I found it so refreshing to find how upfront Alan was about costs, (which are also available online and every other place I went hid costs) Alan advised me of all my options without trying to talk me into anything or have any forceful sales approach.
