Cannot recommend Steve highly enough. He captured wonderful moments of our wedding at Armathwaite Hall, he did all the group shots, the shots we wanted from the top of the Tower, some informal shots (didn't even know he was there half the time) and then finally our beautiful lake shots at Bassenthwaite Lake. They look like postcards, just stunning. He even went the extra mile and got in the lake barefoot to get the perfect shot. Truly professional and now I can't wait for our album to arrive. More...

Steve was fab - completely unobtrusive but a great addition to our wedding day. Had lots of useful hints and tips throughout the day and kept it running so smoothly! And then the photos... Fantastic! Steve was the perfect photographer for our wedding at The Daffodil Hotel and Spa in Grasmere. He was excellent at communicating with us prior to the wedding. His style is documentary which was perfect for us as we hated the idea of tons of posed photos. On the day, he was unobtrusive to the point we almost forgot he was there! Steve was without doubt the right photographer for us as his documentary style photography is exactly what we wanted to go along with our relaxed, informal wedding day. I had searched online for a photographer as we were renewing our vows in the Lake District so wanted someone local to there. As soon as I saw Derwent Photography I didn’t bother to look at any others. We wanted natural photographs that told the story of our day and this is what Steve does. The day was amazing and we hardly noticed Steve was there at all (all the guests commented on this)We had requested a few special photos and Steve obliged with as little fuss and time as possible. The photographs are truly amazing and we were immediately transported back to that magical day with all the memories they brought back. Steve was fantastic. We knew we didn't want many staged photographs and preferred a more observational style so as soon as we met Steve and saw his work, we knew he would do a terrific job capturing our day. I really can't recommend Steve enough, he photographed our wedding in September and from our first meeting made us feel so at ease.
