Elina managed and renovated my large house conversion for over almost a year. The job was very complex and involved a range of construction, structural requirements right through to the interior styling and furnishings.

She approached the job with a well structured plan and the project management was excellent to control in excess of 30 trades onsite at a given time.

Overall the house looks, feels and works amazingly to my requirements. Strongly recommend decodence services particularly when you want to outsource all the hard work !

Design professional with bubbly character and lots of creative ideas that remodelled our new house , complete service from ideas to light shades. I would not hesitate to recommend this design service.

It has been an absolute pleasure and journey working with Elina on the renovation of our 1930's property on the road down to the beach at Bamburgh. It was a fantastic location and good house but it was tired. It needed restored and updated to make it into the wonderful seaside retreat it is today. Decodence have been a wonderful company to work with - always attentive, knowledgable, full of ideas (both sensible and creative), and it was a genuine relationship of discovery and design as we worked out what was best for the house and us. We now have a beautiful, practical and wonderful home!

Decodence brought unmatchable enthusiasm and energy to both projects it was employed to do. They took our desire to change and manufactured a concept and plan that restructured the use of the space and transformed the style into something that both looks and functions impressively, to say the least.
On both occasions I strongly believe that Decodence has saved us money. This has been due to having so much experience and contacts that allow them know where to spend, where to save, and how to coordinate trades people to save time and money. This has probably covered the cost of the fee I payed Decodence: Five star value for money.
I think some professionals, and experienced people have great ideas and jobs under their belt. But, i think when you work with Decodence you realise the interior design expertise they bring is a different level all together.

Elina is amazing - so full of energy and great ideas. She probably should charge more for her services! Well worth the money. She didn't just design for me and find a builder; she also dealt with building control at the council. I highly recommend

Decodence Q&A

Decodence Q&A

What’s your interior design process?

A project typically has three phases following the first site visit, which results in a free proposal to outline proposed works and related fees.
1. Concept design
2. Detailed design and specification
3. Implementation.
The concept provides an idea of the desired end state; finishes, materials and layout. The detailed design provides drawings for layout changes, building construction on bespoke finishes as well as an itemised list of all loose furniture and accessories used in the design. Implementation sources and delivers all goods and provides input to the build process on site if required.

Which interior design styles can you cater for?

I'm delivering your dream design, not mine!

What do you love most about your job?

Helping clients out - I love coming up with solutions to tricky problems and reaching a better result than ever dremt of!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Lack of end to end services in the market. You can easily find a plumber, an electrician or a joiner but we all need someone to come up with an overarching design and help the trades deliver to that specification!

Why should our clients choose you?

Would you like a beautifully designed space for free?
Typically any fees I charge,
you will more than get back as you benefit from savings by accessing my product discounts so effectively the design is for free! If you were to design your space on your own and use retail products, you will pay more for your products and not get the professionally designed look so it's a win win!
