DC quoted £250 +vat for "deep clean throughout." Toilets, shower, tub, sinks not touched. Stove lightly cleaned. Oven, grill, refrigerator, microwave not touched. Some areas still dusty behind and under items. Items moved and not replaced. Many items had to be searched for and were found in odd places, and some are still missing. We complained and were told the team needs more training in "deep clean throughout," and they refunded us £20 as "a token of good faith." I believe the team had not been told this was to be a "deep clean throughout," (although surely toilets would be included anyway!) and that the company placed the blame on their employees, and left their customer to pay for their mistake. Would I recommend this company to anyone? I guess that depends upon how much one wants to pay £250 +vat to do their own cleaning and a thorough search of their property for missing items. If that's something you enjoy, then yes, definitely hire this company. Edit to add: If anyone is wondering, what DC meant by "make up for this incident" was to offer us a chance to pay them again for the same job they didn't do right the first time. We hired this firm to clean a profitable Airbnb house. Out of approximately six cleans we’ve had to get them back for five to re clean the house. The bare minimum is done every time and they charge extortionate rates for cleaning and long hours for the shoddy work that’s done. Literally the worst (and most expensive) cleaners we have encountered in five years of running a business. We would also not find them trustworthy in a home. Last month I moved out of a first-floor flat and wanted the windows cleaned ready for the new owner. I booked DC well in advance to ensure the windows were cleaned the day before I moved (24th Aug). On the 24th, I waited in and nobody turned up. When I phoned DC, I was told that the appointment had been rearranged for the following week. Nobody had phoned or messaged to tell me this. The man I spoke to apologised and asked whether I wanted to keep the new date of the 31st. I cancelled, explaining that I was moving out on the 25th, and the whole point of the booking was that I’d promised the new owner that the windows would be clean when he arrived. Because this left me no time to book someone else, I apologised to the new owner, gave him the money the window cleaning would’ve cost and suggested a couple of more reliable companies. Yesterday, the new owner told me that DC’s cleaner turned up on the 31st for the appointment which I cancelled!!? He suggested that he’d tried to come on the original date but nobody was home, which is just an outright lie. In the past, DC have done a good job of cleaning the windows and I’m sure would have done again. But this experience and the farcical lack of communication (changing an appointment without telling me, then turning up to an appointment I’d cancelled and blaming me for the mistake) has been absolutely shambolic. Went on line to Bark who found me two excellent gardeners, Leigh and his son Josh who is helping him whilst studying horticulture. They are very conscientious and reliable, first class in every way. Leigh has studied shrubs and their Latin names and therefore is very knowledgable and I have no hesitation in recommending them. I really think you need to re-train your staff on how to treat the public and your customers! to say i am angry is an understatement. Yesterday I was driving with my children in the car when one of your drivers decided to cut me up and nearly crashed into me. I had the right of way at this time and had to slam my brakes on causing my child to jolt in his car seat and cry. I tooted the horn and was met with a barrage of abuse and fouI language from the young lad who was a passenger in the van. I then called the office to complain and asked for this persons name which could not be given to me (this i understand) but the girl i spoke to wasnt really interested so i demanded a call from someone higher. I was told someone would call me and here we are 24 hours later and still no call or message from management!!! Not a good way to run a company, a text or message would have been nice. I will certainly NOT recommend you to any of my friends and suggest you follow up complaints in future! More...
