I was significantly overweight (c. 20%) when I first discussed working with David as a PT in September 2015, having got out of the ‘exercise-habit’ and having suffered from the often confusing and conflicting messages that the fitness / diet / food industries feed us. <br />David has provided me with some sound, easy-to-follow guidance regarding my eating which has kept things simple for me. There<span id="moreReview618503" class="hide"> is no fad dieting either! Also, I am less inclined to snack in between meals as a result. <br />I have trained with David twice a week since I started. I have made great progress towards to my goals, which is something that I am proud of. As David stressed at the outset, only I would be responsible if I succeeded and only I would be responsible if I failed. David encourages me to revisit my goals based on an 8 weeks cycle to keep pushing myself, which adds variety to the sessions and keep them interesting. <br />As well as an excellent knowledge of training methodology and techniques, David has a very personable manner, provides focus on either techniques or goals and knows when to encourage / push me to maximise the value of the training. Importantly, the sessions are both serious and fun. <br />Training is held at Primal Health in Toxteth. Despite my starting weight and lack of training, I was impressed that David’s approach, shared by others at Primal Health, is a supportive one and, whilst we all have our own goals, the culture is ‘can do’ rather than elitist.</span> More...

I've been training with David for around 12 months now, after initially contacting him to lose some weight for my upcoming wedding. I'd tried every diet known to man and wasn't very optimistic, however David completely reeducated me about food, nutrition and exercise. He created a bespoke training plan for me and Within just four weeks I'd dropped a dress size. <br />After losing the weight I wanted<span id="moreReview616324" class="hide"> to, I enjoyed training with David so much that I carried on. Ultimately I had to swap my wedding dress from a size 14 to a 10. I couldn't have been happier. David monitors my food and training plans and is always contactable for support outside of our training sessions. He always pushes me to do better. My main aim when I first booked personal training sessions, was to lose weight, which I have done - just over 4 stone and still going, what I didn't realise I was also getting into the bargain in booking sessions with David was an education on nutrition, how my body works, bags of self confidence, and that little spark that makes you think "right, lets see what I can accomplish next" <br />Always<span id="moreReview616211" class="hide"> hated P. E in school, never particularly active, always had an office job sitting down all day and didn't notice what I was eating, all of a sudden I realised I was nearly 17 stone, unhappy and unsure what to do about it, two years of playing at going the gym later and I knew I needed expert advise…………and thats where David came in. <br /><br />Everything was broken down, from lifestyle, what to eat, what not to eat how to exercise and how often. It was hard work getting my head around it all but David always stressed that I could contact him if I had any queries about any part of the training, which I did and still do (names of exercises still escape me). <br /><br />Not long into my training an old back problem flared up, at its worst it was hard to just walk or sit down without being in pain, and my head dropped, when something is hard anyway and something gets in the way its easy to want to give up, thats where David's knowledge and support came in, my sessions were tailored to work along side the physio I was receiving and after just 8 weeks, I was signed off and was able to start building up from where I left off and I haven't looked back since. <br /><br />I can't recommend David enough, in the last 12 months the amount of things I have achieved have been beyond my expectations, from hating running and not being able to run for more than 5 minutes last march to signing up to my first 10k race this spring, not being able to do simple body weight squats to squatting more than 80kg but the main thing I have noticed is the continual More...

I'd never been to a PT before, and was one of those people who 'played' at going to the gym and not really know what I was doing then get fed up and not go back. Now, after weeks 8 weeks training, following all his diet and nutrition advice and having lost 1 stone 1lb and 3 inches from my waist I can't recommend David enough! - he explains everything and keeps you motivated, and each session is<span id="moreReview521408" class="hide"> always different so keeps you on your toes. I have been training with David for nearly 2 months. He has just been phenomenal; he not only has good exercise plans tailored to me, but also is a good motivator. He also keeps his eye on my diet, so I feel like I am thoroughly looked after. Having trained with him for only 2 months, I have already started to see some changes in my body shape. Theres no words to describe how amazing this man is at his job. Since my first session with him I knew it was going to be money well spent. Hes made me into a more confident person in the gym. Before I started with david I hated goin to the gym amd trainin infront of people but nw im startin to believe in myself because of him. David is motivating couraging and will push u to your limits. Having moved to Liverpool from Manchester, I had to leave my trusted PT company and find a new one. <br /><br />I used 2 other PT's in Liverpool but they were very vanilla in their approach and stuck to rigid training plans which were designed for everyone. <br /><br />I met David through a referral from a good friend and having had an initial meeting it was clear that he focussed on not only the exercise plan,<span id="moreReview478623" class="hide"> but also other areas of life which contribute to achieving goals e.g Nutrition and lifestyle. <br /><br />I'm keen on exercise anyway but David makes each session seem more like a social visit whilst working closely with me to make sure I've reached every goal since I started. I have been training with David now for just over a year and it is money well spent. Before training I had never lifted weights before and it had been a while since I had even stepped foot in a gym and now I am there at least 4 times a week and I am really noticing the results. David takes time to find out what you want to achieve and creates a personalised plan that has really helped me make<span id="moreReview478676" class="hide"> the progress I have. David even gave me a personal healthy eating plan which took me from ready meals to cooking fresh, healthy, balanced food every night. I feel fitter than I have ever before and I still look forward to every session. I was extremely nervous before my first session as I haven't done ANY exercise for years and even then I wasn't good, but David soon put me at ease while taking me well outside my comfort zone. He was very encouraging and pushed me much further than I would have thought I was capable of. I thought he was out of his mind when he suggested walking to and around the local park which includes a<span id="moreReview470326" class="hide"> particularly evil hill, but within 3 or 4 sessions he had me "running" up said hill. Target Zone training is is amazing. I always wanted to have a personal trainer, and to get fit with that little bit more motivation, I bought a 10 session block booking with David the trainer. This is the first time I have ever found a personal trainer that actually gets what I want to achieve and who I am and the challenges I faced. I have always avoided the gym and never really exercised but I recently got to the point where I decided that I needed to take control and get in shape. I found David through the internet and immediately sent a request to have the first trial session.<span id="moreReview375962" class="hide"> <br /><br />I have had 8 or so sessions now and I am really enjoying every minute. David really pushes you, even when you just want to curl up and cry, to keep going which is what I need. <br /><br />David has given me a massive confidence boost already as I am doing things that I thought I would never be able to do. I have always been really uncomfortable around weights and too embarrassed to try as I knew I would make a fool of myself. <br /><br />David isn't like other personal trainer I have experienced in the past. I have never had a personal trainer before, infact i never really did much exercise. However with my upcoming wedding, wanting to lose weight and the support of a friend we decided to sign up together for 10 sessions. I cannot recommend David highly enough. Infact if I could rate him 10 stars out of 5 I would.We did our first session in my home and after that chose to meet David at the beach.<span id="moreReview309886" class="hide"> His sessions are tough, really tough but he gives you support and is constantly setting you goals and telling you you can achieve them...and he is right. He is constantly mixing up the training sessions so you are never bored,gives you advice and guidance when you need it and more importantly the sessions are fun and David himself is a funny guy. Not only that, David devises a nutrition plan to follow which is nothing like any of these fad diets out there. Just good healthy eating. I started my sessions with David a size 18/20 and I am now a comfortable 14. The weight has literally melted away and I feel so much fitter, healthier, toned and good about myself. I am delighted with the results, so much so my friend and I are signing up again. This is one of the hardest things I have done but David gets me through it. To think I used to hate exercise and was massively self conscious walking into a gym.Now I really look forward to our sessions.I even miss them when I am not doing them. I have never tried personal training before but was getting frustrated that my progress wasn't fast enough with the exercise I was doing. David is brilliant and I have been over the moon with the results. The sessions are HARD- much harder than you would ever push yourself- but the results are worth it. Dave trains me in the comfort of my own home and I am amazed by the variety we have been able to include in the pt sessions. I have thoroughly enjoyed each session and genuinely look forward to the next. I have also been able to use the new exercises I have learnt whilst on my own and after 3 weeks am feeling great benefits. Dave has provided me with an eating plan based on foods I enjoy eating<span id="moreReview237694" class="hide"> and so being healthy hasn't been a chore. Really pleased i decided to give personal training a try, still got a few sessions left and never thought i'd say but im actually looking forward to them! I know dave very well and he is a top guy, i got all the staff and myself to go to his target zone fitness camp and it was fantastic. Not only did we get fit and learn the best ways to keep fit we now know what we should be eating to stay healthy aswell as having a right laugh. I have never been a big fan of exercising and have really struggled with the gym since having a baby 2 years ago. I recently started "Beach Camp" with David and I am absolutly loving it! I've always been relatively fit but often find it difficult to keep motivated and often get bored. David has been great in identifying my fitness requirements and putting the fun back into keeping fit. The service and support doesn't stop at the end of s session but is continuous. David is always there to give advice and guidance. I had a total knee replacement back in December and have been reluctant to get back training again. I finally managed to make the effort to get back into the gym when i was approached by David who showed a real concern and interest in my knee and how i could improve it. I told him what i had been doing and he asked if he could show me a few different exercises that would help to strengthen my<span id="moreReview221756" class="hide"> knee significently. I'm glad tht i said yes. I am now a regular client of Davids and his training is second to none. On my last training session i was training in the swimming pool doing various strengthening exercises, something totally different and excellent for my knee due to the low impact of the water. Would just like to say a big thank you do David who I have trained with for 6 months. His training classes and personal tuition in fitness, nutrition and general health has been 1st class. David is professional but trains you hard and the sessions are fun. I have lost 16 pounds, have toned up and have built muscle which was my my main aim. We (Dave & I) both have been working out in the Gym for a while without much success. David W was recommended to us by a family member and we have been working out with him for the past 5 weeks. The results are evident and the sessions although tough are enjoyable. David always pushes you a little bit further each session. I might moan and groan during the session but I am feeling fitter and<span id="moreReview207812" class="hide"> have already dropped a dress size, looking forward to dropping a couple more. We follow the personal training exercises David planned for us between sessions with him, he has a friendly personality and unique method of motivation. AND he doesn't seem to mind when we shout at him because he is pushing us further than we think we can go. I have never had a personal trainer before, but always wanted one, but found they were costly and hard to find ! I found myself training in the gym at home to get myself in shape but was becoming bored of the normal routine i was leading. I started with david and im never going to look back, He offers 24/7 advice, from nutrition to general health & fitness, his programmes are structured and<span id="moreReview206304" class="hide"> challenging whilst being fun and easy to follow, its nothing quite like training by yourself or in the gym. I've tried personal trainers before and it never worked out. David was recommended to me by a friend and I've never looked back. <br />David is friendly and funny and makes exercising so much fun. Being a big girl, i find going the gym quite embarrassing,i noticed on davids website that there is the option to email him with any questions so i did and found him really interesting and helpful. I have never had a Personal Trainer before and was just expecting to do exercises for an hour and that would be that. David prepared a brilliant programme for me, gave me regular health checks, helped with my nutrition and was there all the time if i needed help or advice. Training was what he says, very fun but challenging but it got me in the best shape i've been in.
