Hi, I'm David Martin and I live in Plymouth, Devon
I have a passion for Nature photography and love to capture those moments that it provides for us , Land , Sea and the animals we have roaming our beautiful countryside and coastline .
Photographing people is a very personal experience, so i like to find out about them before I get my camera out and help them feel comfortable with me and my equipment .

David is very professional. Listened to all my requests and delivered exactly what we wanted . We didn’t want fully formal traditional wedding photos as we had both been married before . We wanted natural in the moment photos and were extremely pleased with the end result . Have used him a couple of times now and would gladly recommend to others More...

David done our wedding photos. They were stunning. His attention to detail really is amazing. He took pictures when no one was looking to really capture those natural moments. There were so many pictures to choose from. David kindly let me keep them all, he travelled from Plymouth all the way to Portsmouth (what a long way) it wasn't any trouble to him what do ever. He is friendly, has a great personality and above all else he is the best photographer I have ever met. Thank you David. More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Knowing your equipment and the lighting needed to suit a situation helps, but also having an involvement with the client. Feeling comfortable with each other and getting the client to feel relaxed infront of the camera is important. I will guide them throughout the photo shoot, and i will ask what they would like and put some of my own ideas to them, after all most clients are not trained models!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Most of the time i would start by asking general questions like , where they come from, the jobs they do, and end up with likes and dislike of a photo style. I don't get my camera out until we have had a brief introduction. I always talk throughout the shoot and show them some of the shots to keep them feeling involved with the process.
What do you love most about your job?
I love all aspects of my job, but the end result, showing the client the images and seeing the response on their faces is very rewarding to me, unless they are not happy, fortunately i haven't had an unhappy client.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My wife! She runs her own business and persuade me to go Professional. Making a hobby into a profession and not looking back, it as been a success for me personally , but it's not easy.
Why should our clients choose you?
My cost are affordable because i don't have many overheads, like a studio. I use my home for portraits as it has a large conservatory and all my lighting equipment is portable so i can go to the clients home or place they choose to have their photo shoot.
