We're not sure that there are enough good words to describe how we feel about David Grant Simpson Photography! David is just incredible. He was the first of only two wedding photographers that we met with, and we knew straight away that we wanted him to capture our wedding day. We had the most amazing journey with him - from the initial meeting, to prepping over a couple of gins, to going on a jaunt around Glasgow on the day itself, to seeing our first images, to the post-wedding chat and then meeting up to collect our beautiful presentation box (over another gin, of course!) - it really was just perfection. We even brought our wedding forward a year, and David was so kind and accommodating while we wrangled with dates and a new venue - he was truly a source of calm and humour throughout, without even knowing it, we suspect. David is cool, calm and collected, professional to a fault and great fun to be around and work with. His work is in our view unsurpassed - it truly speaks for itself. He captured our day in a way that we are confident no-one else could have - he understood what we wanted from our day, in particular our photos, he captured it perfectly and remained true to his own style. We got hundreds of absolutely fantastic shots from David, but had we even just got a handful of them, we would have been delighted. He's just that good. My husband and I first met David when we were at a wedding fayre. David’s stall was visually stunning, and he appeared instantly approachable. Unlike some other stalls, David wasn’t pushy, thus we were able to take time to look at all his beautiful work of previous weddings. When David started to then speak to us and give us the opportunity to ask questions we both knew straight away we wanted him to be our wedding photographer. From then on, David regularly kept in contact regarding what we had to do and what we wanted. We met up before the wedding to discuss this in person, which put us completely at ease. This affirmed our decision we made the right choice. On our big day in our fairytale venue - a castle - David again was very professional, down to earth, interactcted well with our many guests. He made us both feel at ease, as we are not used to being photographed - I personally loved the candid shots as David captured our natural feelings of joy that day. We would like to say a huge thank you. Looking at our wedding photos, David has captured the most important day of our lives beautifully. Our wedding album is stunning and tells the story as it happened. We feel out of all our suppliers that day, David by far outshone them all. Again thank you very much David. We cannot recommend David enough, we got married in August 2018 and David made our dream a reality. He was so professional and his attention to detail was flawless. The pictures he capture were perfect and he captured every aspect of the day including going out of his way to get us some outdoor pictures as it rained all day - the outdoor pictures were the most breathtaking images I’ve ever seen. David has a unique style of wedding photography. It is natural yet with an artistic flair. We were drawn to the intensity of his shots and his ability to turn a bleak Scottish day into something dramatic and romantic. We were impressed by David’s communication and customer service throughout the booking process. He was always responsive and open to our suggestions. He also met with us in person in advance of the big day. On the day itself, he put us at complete ease and managed to capture a wide range of photos without being intrusive or keeping us from our guests for too long. David provided us with some ‘sneak peak’ photos within a couple of days of the wedding followed by a slideshow with the highlights of the day and our full wedding album within a few weeks.
