We had a very helpful and informative meeting before our big day and David was only too willing to answer any questions we had, and make useful suggestions. Having interviewed a number of photographers for our big Day, as soon as wed said goodbye to David after our initial review of his portfolio, we knew he was our photographer. Very calm and quiet, not intrusive on the day and almost unnoticeable during the proceedings. From discussing photography as an amateur, one can see David clearly has a passion for photography which is key. This is not simply a job to pay the bills, and the fact that he cares so much for his work meant we knew he would give us his best. When we received our wedding album, the photographs were stunning, we had already chosen which ones to include in our album and the album itself is a beautifully high quality album which we were both astounded by plus a DVD of the images in matching binder as a lovely touch. David was recommended to us by Nicki from Walnut Salons, as she had worked with him at a past wedding. From our first meeting with David we never thought of looking else where. Nicki told us that David's laid back approach and creative style would be perfect for our rustic day at Hurlston Hall, and she was absolutely right. We are so pleased with our wedding album and DVD slide show that David produced for us, but most of all we are so happy with how he handled us, and our guests, on our day. We have so many amazing photographs to choose from, the hardest thing for us was narrowing down the selection to fit in our album. Right from our preparations, to the end of the evening reception, you would not know that the photographers were even there and they where able to capture precious moments throughout the day which allowed us to enjoy our day even more. David really took into account what we wanted from our photographs and our day. He was really easy to talk to running up to the day, during the day and afterwards, and always prompt to respond. Capturing the memories of our wedding day through photography was very important to us as a Bride and Groom. We love photographs, so much so that they played a big part in our intimate wedding - we used them instead of name place cards, had a photo guest book, there was even a photo on top of the cake! I'm so glad we found David to take on the task of documenting our wedding story, because we couldn't have been happier with the results, and now have the best photographs to add to our collection.

We are a very laid back couple, sometimes to our disadvantage, organisation is not our forte! However David was professional and helpful from the start to finish. We wanted a photographer that was creative, non intrusive and relaxed, and we got just that. David proved himself to be flexible with his approach, especially when we had to abandon our original plans due to cold and windy weather. David knows how to read a couple and in turn understands the priorities of their special day, this reflects in his photographs, he really does capture the atmosphere of the day, and the style of the couple.

We were also very pleased with the presentation of the digital package, the images were presented on a disc personalised with an image, and packaged in a beautiful white box. A very nice keepsake!

David was an absolutely brilliant photographer. The photos he took of our wedding day are better than we ever hoped and David himself was so great to work with; he was well-organized, friendly, punctual and well-presented. He was also very "photo-journalistic" (if that's a word), which suited us. He took at least 500 photos during the day, and we barely noticed him taking them.

The formal photos after the ceremony were short and sweet. We had 10 or so that we wanted taken with various groups of family/friends. They took no longer than 20 mins and allowed us lots of time to spend with our guests.

Our wedding was a little different to most in that it included a walk on the beach. When we talked to David about this beforehand he was really keen to make the most of the opportunity to take photos in such an unusual setting, and when it turned out to be bucketing down that morning he just brought his wellies and waterproofs. Thankfully the weather cleared up before the walk and we got some fantastic pictures. My sister actually spotted David at one point sprint across the beach to snap me carrying my new wife to the sea! We had no idea that David was so passionate about getting a good photo, we were just enjoying ourselves.

We had agreed with David that he would be there until 8pm when we left, and when we were running late, and it looked more like 9:30 that we would leave, David had no problem with staying on, he said weddings normally run late and he's always prepared for that. He in so many ways throughout the day went the extra mile for us.

Following the wedding David kept in regular contact about how the editing process was going and posting up the odd photo for us to see, and when they were all ready we received them on a disc in a beautiful case by post. One of things that originally attracted us to him as a photographer was that he was so versatile. He did close up photos well, as well as ones from a distance, individuals, groups, indoors, outdoors, set pieces and well-timed capturing of special moments during the day. Our photos really do reflect that and we are over the moon!

Dave is a personal friend of ours, so was the obvious choice for us when choosing a photographer for our wedding on Easter Sunday. Reviewing his previous work before our wedding left us in no doubt that we were in safe hands.

The candid style that Dave adopts ensures the best results, and he really does blend in with the day. If you do not want a photographer that is pushy and in your face then Dave is a perfect choice.

All we can say is that the results are stunning, and the Dave's photographs perfectly captured our perfect day.

David Gordon is a fantastic wedding photographer. He captured our wedding day perfectly. The style of photography is exactly what we wanted and the shots are amazing. So many of our guests have also commented on his brilliant work. At times we barely noticed he was there and the off-guard shots are our favourite, capturing the natural joy and happiness of the day. He was so calm and professional throughout our wedding day and extremely efficient after the day, uploading preview shots for our enjoyment almost immediately!
