My kid has been going to KIDS Ground Class since May. Coach Tom is a patient, fun, and a very good fit with my son. Randy Brown is just amazing. He is such a good role model for children. Always being respectful but firm. My son recently started attending their new KIDS Boxing class and it is one of my son’s favorite activities. The classes are small so the children receive excellent instruction. The facilities are clean and the staff is excellent. Cannot recommend enough. Feel truly lucky to have found Mantis Boxing. Randy Brown Mantis Boxing is an amazing martial arts studio. The instruction is top notch, the space is clean and the people who attend classes are great. I've been to a number of schools over the years and this is by far one of my favorite martial arts schools in New England. More...

This place is awesome. Randy is a great teacher. It is a very supportive and nonjudgmental environment. And the classes are so fun! I recently went after not working out for a long time and Randy was extremely patient and accommodating in making modifications, etc. He even went so far as to offer me personalized tips and advice about moving forward with my fitness. I recommend this place very highly. More...

I trained there for many years but I had moved too far to commute now. The owner/master is awesome, very smart and always learning more to pass on to his students. I took Tai Chi and BJJ. The teachers and master were helpful and I always felt comfortable. More...

As an older student with no prior martial arts experience I was quite apprehensive about my first undertaking in martial arts. When I first contacted the school Master Brown spent quite a bit of time with me on the phone to understand my athletic background and goals. He clearly articulated his training philosophy and how he ran his school. In short he made feel much more at ease with taking that first step of showing up at the school and taking a class. Needless to say I enjoyed my first class and have not looked back.

As a long time athlete who has been fortunate to have been coached by a number of top instructors in a variety of different athlete pursuits, I can recognize a good coach vs. an inferior one. Master Brown is a very gifted athlete who has been successful not only in several disciplines of martial arts, but who has completed at the very highest levels in other sports as well. He combines his athletic background with a solid understanding of exercise physiology and nutrition and is able to pass that knowledge onto his students.

Master Brown is a dedicated teacher who goes to great lengths towards understanding different teaching mythologies and how best to apply them to the individual student whether that student is a teenager or septuagenarian. Master Brown’s efforts give each student the best chance of being successful in his or her chosen pursuit. Whether you have been on the fence about learning a martial art or you are already an accomplished martial artist Nor’easter Martial Arts is the school for you.
