I’ve been a gym goer and weight trainer for nearly 25 years and hence have lived and worked all over the country and internationally, and trained at a number of different gyms. I was recently looking for a change from rip-off Bannatynes and was recommended The Letchworth Club by a friend I trust. I have zero regrets! Friendly welcome, solid and functional equipment, thoughtful layout to maximise available space, and with a clientele obviously focussed on great training and minimal posing around taking selfies. All the staff are lovely. Right from when you first enter you get a lovely, warm welcome from the reception staff. I train with a personal trainer who is an excellent trainer and is motivational.

Excellent gym in Northwood. I've been a member here for a couple of years now.All the staff are friendly and welcoming which gives it a nice personal feel. It's never to busy, even in peak times as they have used the space well to incorporate different areas for different training styles.I rarely have to wait for any piece of equipment and even then it's only a few minutes.Good space for free weights and some excellent equipment which has been constantly upgraded.They also now have a cross fit / calisthenics area which is excellent to mix up training styles.Good range of cardio equipment and they run a variety of classes.The resturant/bar area has recently been renovated, haven't eaten there yet but the new menu looks tasty. Pool, sauna, steam room and showers are excellent, can always find a lane to swim in and good temperature.The whole place is always very clean and tidy.I would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere that offers more than a standard gym and at a good price! Used to go here when it was la fitness. The new owners and refurbishments we're really needed and the space created in the gym is much better. Good cardio machines with enough space for free weights and machine. Even managed to fit two deadlifting pad spaces and trx station. Personal trainers are friendly and the locker room/studio and new sauna facilities are well maintained. Would recommend this gym More...

It's a friendly club with good facilities.The staff are always friendly and I love the pool. I do find it's hard to get on certain classes like pilates /yoga but my time is limited.I would recommend this club.

I've been using gyms for about 14years to help me cope with my disabilitys & pain relief. There are lots of free weights & gym machine treadmills cross trainers & bikes & rowing machines this is the best gym I've ever been a member of. All the staff are wonderful & so helpful it's so clean plus the bar & restaurant serve many different healthy meals & the showers are powerful & hot the pool just at the right temperature the steam is perfect & sauna is loverly & hot to. I'm here now 27/3/2017 & it will be my 2nd year in May & as it keeps getting better i can't understand why anyone has reason to moan about Ash or any of the staff there all so positive & helpful so i have no reason to go anywhere else & i for one am glad he & all the staff are here & i know i'm not the only one. I love going to Darwin Wellness every morning (5-6 times per week) either having spinning, bodyattack or bodypump but before the classes I always have a double espresso in the lounge area as for me this is the place with the best coffee in Northwood. I love the instructors and find the classes very helpful as I’m not used to the gym. I appreciate that after the classes I can have a healthy, delicious and refreshing smoothie. I find everybody who works there really friendly so I enjoy every minute . Thank you all! :) More...
