He is amazing at his job. Very knowledgable/informative/intuitive. Has really helped me with my Manchester terrier. All his advice has been really sound and the techniques very effective. He has taught me about myself and the dogs behaviour, and how to make for a happy union of human and dog. Highly reccomended. He is good and easy to work with and knows his stuff! More...

Dan has been working with my GSD since she was a pupper. An amazingly intuitive and natural dog whisperer.
This man can work with and train almost any dog I can think of. Just tell him what you want of your dog then let the magic happen. Just be sure to follow the methods he tells you to do to continue the good practice and training when on your own with your companion. That way the great work he begins will carry through to your own home. More...

When I met Dan and Ana a few months ago we arranged for our dogs to meet in the most natural way - on a walk. My wife and I had decided to leave England in search for a different, more outdoor life style in southern Europe and since we couldn't take Olive (our amazing Nicaraguan street dog) with us from the start we were looking for a temporary home for him.

From the very start Olive and Jack (Dan and Ana's Jack Russel) respected each other which gave Dan a pretty good idea what kind of dog he was taking on. After 20 minutes Dan was confident that there would be no major issues and that he was willing to foster Olive. He immediately said he would be fully committed to looking after Olive for 3 months even if challenges would arise. I walked away from that meeting knowing that there was no other place I would rather leave Olive for 3 months even though we had only just met.

The next time we met was when we dropped off Olive at Dan and Ana's house. Talking to Dan it became clear very quickly how passionate he is about what he does. He understands dogs and what they need to be healthy and well balanced.

Both my wife and I are so grateful to have met Dan and Ana, for giving Olive a home while we were looking for ours. They both sent us photos and video's regularly and all of those captured the essence of Olive and the kinda dog he is. I could see clearly he was at ease in their presence for which I give credit to Dan and Ana. After being abused as a young dog it hasn't always been like that with strangers but Olive trusted them and had an amazing time.

I would totally and fully recommend Dana's Way whether it is to look after your dog, to walk your furry friend or train or rehabilitate. I just wish I would have spent more time in Dan's presence as I know I could learn so much from him!

Thank you so much for giving Olive a great home away from home!

Dan and Ana took on the challenge of my 1 year old Cocker Spaniel (working variety), Rolo. We've struggled with setting boundaries for him since we've had him and as a result had become intense to live with and almost impossible to walk on his lead. He went to stay with them for 8 days and returned yesterday. So far so good. The thing about Dan and Ana is that they've helped me to adjust mine and my families behaviour as well as Rolo's. He's not the perfect dog (yet) but has come so far and we can see how what we do can make such a difference. Obviously, I'd highly recommend them! More...

Within 5 minutes of meeting Dan and Anna I knew my 2 frenchies were in the right place. I love their passion and understanding towards dogs (and people). They were looked after for 3 days and came back relaxed and tired, a sign of a good few days. Thank you both! More...

Dan is a true behaviourist in every sense of the word. He is incredibly intuitive with both the dogs and their 'owners'. He has a beautiful way of translating what's going on behaviourally and provides simple and incredibly effective techniques and advice. Dan has helped tremendously with both of our rescue dogs, and now they board with him if we are away. I wouldn't trust anyone else, plus it's always a pleasure to watch him work. More...

Q&A

We strongly believe this was not a job we chose but a lifestyle that chose us. Learning the psychology of an animal has been life changing, we feel that we are better parents, friends and most importantly dog leaders for it. Every customer we meet gives us a chance to learn more about the dog world and ourselves, as each dog and it's human are unique!

Helping people is the most rewarding experience you can have but when you can help their dogs too, create what they thought was impossible, possible, you have to go for it full time.
Inspiration is everywhere, we are trying to do our part in helping bring the unheard dog's message of harmony and balance to their pack.

We love what we do!
We do have qualifications to show we know it but we believe that experience is key & we have plenty of it.
We feel that there is no problem that cannot be fixed, as long we can create the right environment.
We are all unique, to listen properly is the greatest tool.
Our only you goal is to help you feel as relaxed and confident as you start to understand your dog on a dog level.

Happy days
