Our experience in purchasing our new fridge/freezer was excellent. We arrived after visiting the major retailers to be met by an experienced member of staff who took on our requirements and solved them. He was pleasant and friendly and a date for delivery was arranged. The delivery team arrived as promised on time, removed the old fridge/freezer to the van, unpacked and installed the new purchase including guidance as to setting up.We would recommend Dacombes of Wimborne again and again. We visited Dacombes looking to replace our 23 year old Built in Fridge/Freezer with a built in Fridge. The Salesman in the showroom was excellent explaining and showing us what products they had to fit in the space we had. Incredible service! One morning a big pan fell on our old cooker hob and shattered it beyond repair. We were due to go to a festival the very next morning and would leave our grown up daughter no way of cooking! I went into Dacombes about 9-30 yesterday morning to buy a washing machine. At 12-30 it was delivered and installed by them in my house, at no extra charge. We bought most of our larger kitchen electrical items from Dacombes when we moved into a new house just 2yrs ago, and that in itself was a good experience. Sound advice was given on what would fit our needs and everything was stored for some weeks, without charge, until it was time for the items to be installed. Very recently our fridge/freezer broke down - no fault of Dacombes! We contacted them and they immediately contacted the manufacturers for us. The manufacturers suggested we try a reset overnight. When this failed Dacombes immediately offered to loan us a fridge at no charge, which they delivered that day, and again contacted the manufacturer to request a visit from an engineer. Top marks. From the moment we entered the shop for advice, to the time the installers drove away, we were dealt with in a very courteous and professional manner. We were offered almost immediate delivery at a time to suit us, it arrived exactly when it was supposed to. The removal of our old appliance was quick, efficient and mess-free. Installation options were discussed, and when a potential obstacle occurred (only discovered when the old appliance was removed) we were offered an immediate solution so the new oven could be fitted immediately at no extra cost. Very helpful, gave us the measurements of the freezer so we could make sure there was enough height as had decided on the taller one to go in the garage. Went into the shop next day and ordered it and was put on delivery for Monday, had a call when they were 15 minutes away. We have been going to Dacombes of Wimborne for many years now. We have always found their sales and service excellent - most helpful, friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the product - and quick. We desperately needed a new washing machine - they had a good one in stock, we bought it and it was delivered and installed the next morning (and the old one taken away). They even went back to their warehouse to retrieve packaging with a serial number on it which we needed for our warranty. I was recommended Dacombes of Wimborne by Aqualectric when my old washing machine couldn't be economically repaired. I had a phone call the same afternoon with a quotation for a comparable machine. The machine was delivered within 5 days, I was given a nice narrow window, between 10 am and 1 pm.
