Curative Hypnotherapy

Training at the hypnotherapy training college has been a fantastic experience, every step of the way. I really enjoyed the homestudy element of the training that I was able to do in my own time. The depth of feedback I received was greatly beyond my expectations – the responses always gave me a new angle to consider and always left me keen to progress to the next module. This really made me confident that the practical course would be of the same high standard. In fact, if anything, it was even better! The small group size meant we got a really high level of support and teaching that was definitely value for money. The course structure and all the written material was excellent. Feedback was always encouraging, thought-provoking and in-depth and really helped me to progress through the course with confidence and enthusiasm. The main thing that really set this course apart from other hypnotherapy courses was the fact that we actually saw our tutor providing treatment to patients. This was an absolutely invaluable experience and I cannot imagine going into successful practice myself (which I now have) without first having seen such sessions in action. It felt like a great privilege to see treatment first hand. The fact that they were patients who were entirely new to Lesserian Hypnotherapy treatment themselves (i.e. they hadn’t simply been cheery-picked as past successful patients) meant that we students were learning all about the treatment alongside them. This unique set up (of watching live sessions) greatly appealed to me when I chose this course, but I had also been a tad worried that there might be some awkwardness in this or that it might seem false to actual life. But in fact these worries were completely unfounded – the volunteer patients had a relaxing and enjoyable (and life changing) experience getting rid of their symptoms, and the students were able to share in this in a way that was absolutely genuine and supportive. It really was an invaluable experience. What was nice was that the patients came to want the students to succeed and to learn (so that we could go on and qualify to help others like them) as much as they wanted successful treatment for themselves. So ultimately there was a lovely bond between both the therapist/tutor, the volunteer patients and the students and we were all overjoyed to see the patients ultimately cured of their varying symptoms through Lesserian Hypnotherapy. I went home every evening from the practical course absolutely buzzing with all that I had learnt and couldn’t wait until the next day. This course was really intense though - I was really surprised by how much we fitted in, and we were having to constantly think and reflect and get our heads around complex ideas every minute. After the homestudy element I had high expectation of this practical course and every single expectation was vastly exceeded. I was very pleasantly surprised by just how challenging and rewarding this course was and how much I got out of it (including a successful new career). All the support and guidance that I gained from the college throughout the course has continued throughout my working practice as a hypnotherapist. This support and guidance from Helen Lesser, other therapists and other past students is absolutely priceless. I can honestly say that I have used my brain more studying Lesserian Hypnotherapy than in anything I have previously done (including past undergraduate and postgrad degrees!) The practical course (and the ongoing diploma) definitely isn’t just an easy walk in the park. But for anyone wanting to use their minds, willing to learn and wanting a rewarding new career then I thoroughly recommend it. More...
