Brought my custom built PC here earlier in the year as it was turning off randomly - not only was it repaired within days, but they were very communicative and helped source a good psu within my budget as well as reorganised all the wires in my case so it wasn't spaghetti junction anymore. Fantastic communication throughout the process, not allowing costs to escalate. Sent in a laptop with severe hardware problems and the team at CSD were very clear: they were going to do a diagnostic, assess what could be done and not take further action until we had spoken after the diagnostics, so that we could make a decision if it was worth replacing the hardware or think of other options. Great communication, kept me up-to-date on how things were progressing. Best part: they were able to fix the hardware issue without replacing any parts, so only had to pay for diagnostics + labour. Did a great job - they replaced my broken power supply on an imac and then suggested they upgraded my hard drive - I now have a supercharged imac that has never worked this well. It is lightening fast. The service was good, the advice excellent and the price fair. It took a bit longer than I hoped but that was because they wanted to fully test it before returning it to me. Took my laptop in because it wouldn't fire up ….and I am pretty clueless about technology. Gentleman in CSD booked it and then contacted me to advise it had been running fine with their power pack . ..asked me to take mine in, the same !!! Must have run down the battery and not connected power pack properly ...Doh ! But the gentleman in the shop didn't make me feel dim and didn't try to make out it was something complicated, was honest and raised the minimal fee. I have been using CSD for a number of years since being introduced by a friend - they have been consistently excellent and have always resolved the problems. Glenco Civil Engineers is a small business with 2 desk top PC's and a couple of laptops all of which have had issues needing resolving over the years - we even suffered a ransomware attack and CSD cleared that from the PC without us having to get involved with the ransome! I’ve used CSD a few times and I always get professional and helpful service. Most recently a portable hard drive of mine failed but fortunately the guys were able to recover my data and transfer it all to a new hard drive. Throughout the process there was good and very clear communication about the process, risks, costs and timing. What I eventually got more than met my expectations. CSD did an excellent job on my computer which was running so slow it was unworkable. For a very cost effective price a new hard disc was put in and now it runs 10 times faster.. One very happy customer.
