Been going to Courtenay once a week since early 2019. She is really lovely, takes time to get to know you, sets sensible realistic goals and knows how to get the best out of you. She's very calm and motivates quietly in 1-1 sessions, very approachable and easy to get along with the hour sessions go in a flash and she really knows her stuff especially when it comes to training women. I got a massage off of Courtenay and it was amazing. She really takes her time to work to your needs (knots / tightness) so you get the most out of the massage. Safe to say I felt amazing the next day! Courtenay is a great PT. I saw her once a week for 4 weeks had a great loss in cm’s in only a couple of sessions. She’s very down to Earth and completely listens to you in terms of what you want your goals to be. I also go to weight watchers and she fully respected that and didn’t try to make me change anything apart from my exercises which I really respect her for. Courtenay has given me the kick of motivation I needed. I started training with her with 14 weeks until my wedding and Now I'm 9 weeks away wishing I'd started so much sooner! I have seen better results in the last 5 weeks than I had in the year leading up to now. I really enjoy our sessions together as she knows how to push you whilst making it fun. I no longer have a fear of lifting weights or venturing down to the big scary weights section. She has given me the confidence to realise that by ignoring the weights I was only doing myself and my workout a disservice. We have now started HIIT training and although I really hate it at the time, I feel amazing when I leave. We even manage to have a laugh whilst doing it! I can't wait to see what the next 9 weeks bring. She is keeping me motivated for the dress! She is always there for support when I need it, our sessions don't just end when I leave the gym! How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I strive to help my clients achieve their goals through progress pictures and measurements. I have a private group chat with all of my clients were I talk and motivate them throughout the week and send them healthy meal ideas. It also gives my clients the chance to interact with my other clients who possibly have the same goals as them.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Hard work, dedication and determination. I always stand by the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day” so you won’t achieve your “dream body” overnight either. It takes dedication to set the goals and stick to them. It also requires hard work, one gym session a week won’t achieve what you want, you need to put in the hours.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the feedback and rewards I get from seeing my clients body and confidence change in front of me. It’s the satisfaction of knowing that I have pushed them and helped them achieve their goals. I also get friends for life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love being independent and wanted to create something that I and my family could be proud of. To be able to sustain myself and my family off my own back, it’s a great motivator.
