Counselling Therapy Q&A
What do you love most about your job?
Helping people to discover the hidden answers they possess to their issues and problems and seeing the wonder in them at this discovery. Too often we feel powerless in the face of societal insistence at our inability to solve our own, individual problems, and discovering that, actually, we can is empowering, freeing and immensely satisfying to witness at first hand.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My experience of freeing myself from addictive behaviours and impulses led to me wanting to help others too. The reward one experiences from freeing oneself is matched only by the freeing of another person to discover the potential that they can find within themselves and within the world they had previously thought had abandoned them.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I can help you put your problems into perspective. I work with you to find your solutions to your problems. I have plenty of experience at doing this and have proven successful thus far. The first consultation is always free to give you the chance to decide for yourself whether or not you think I can be of assistance to you in discovering what's troubling you and how to put that right.

Integrative Counselling draws on all orientations without prejudice or preference other than which approach appears to help the client in their search for ways to fully integrate. An un-integrated person veers between chaos and rigidity. This is often seen in acting out using substances, behaviours, attitudes and postures adopted to make the un-integrated person feel better about themselves. Integration means being able to accept the many different facets of yourself without feeling dislocated, shambolic or inauthentic. Some people have huge issues with themselves as other than perfect and this can lead them to act out and self medicate. Self acceptance allows for integration; integration brings serenity and peace because we accept ourselves as imperfect but lovable, loved and loving.
