Q&As

Helping people solve their problems and find their own paths to peace and more fulfilling lives.

Having the ability to work one-on-one with my clients and set hours that work with their schedules is what really moved me to start my own business. When you are a therapist working for a mental health hospital or agency, you are often required to work their hours or do therapy the way they want you to rather than the way that most benefits the client. Every person is an individual, and the therapy that works well for one person may not work at all well for the next. By having my own business I can meet with clients early in the morning or later in the afternoon, before or after they go to work, and I can adjust the therapeutic techniques I use to meet the client's needs.

Because I am very passionate about what I do. I love helping people solve their problems.

Services

EMDR therapy helps people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that come from disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that using EMDR therapy speeds recovery and lets people experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference.

It is widely assumed that severe emotional pain requires a long time to heal. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma. When you cut your hand, your body works to close the wound. If a foreign object or repeated injury irritates the wound, it festers and causes pain. Once the block is removed, healing resumes. EMDR therapy demonstrates that a similar sequence of events occurs with mental processes.

The brain’s information processing system naturally moves toward mental health. If the system is blocked or imbalanced by the impact of a disturbing event, the emotional wound festers and can cause intense suffering. Once the block is removed, healing resumes. Using the detailed protocols and procedures learned in EMDR therapy training sessions, clinicians help clients activate their natural healing processes.
