Coastal Music services turned my daughter’s 13th birthday party into an incredibly fun, entertaining experience with such a warm, personal touch. The day started with Nancy singing happy birthday with her beautiful voice, and proceeded with a great acoustic system playing some hand-picked songs by my daughter along with popular music to which Nancy taught a variety of dance steps, learning several fun and lively outdoor games and through it all massive amounts of bubbles floating around everywhere. Nancy arrived ahead of schedule and setup really fast. She worked with me to plan when we could sing Happy Birthday and even lead the song with a nice singing voice. She took a short list of songs I wanted played and based on that played a good mix of the kind of music we wanted to hear. Her price was competitive and I would definitely hire her again. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Hard question to answer, but below are some key points...
1) The personality of your DJ/MC can make or break your reception. I read the crowd, mix and match music genres.
2) We offer creative party ideas along with customization including options.
3) We charge per event and not per package or per party plan.
4) Experienced, professional and friendly owner that takes pride in their work to get the right balance.
5) We work with the crowd and different personalities to create an event that combines our
experience, with your ideas and personality.
6) Paying attention to detail is very important, and quality matters.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I understand how music can be utilized and shared in the right way. I can be interactive, or conservative. I believe that "style" can be directed more so to club or house DJ's. Even on air DJ's have their own way of presenting themselves. You have to be very diversified owning and operating a mobile business.
What do you love most about your job?
A job well done, and seeing a smile on my client's face. In this business, you can't be all things to all people. Even Sir Paul McCartney said he has his own insecurities, as did I when I sang the National Anthem at Fenway Park..37,000 fans.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a DJ in college, and received my license to be on radio.
