Cleanhome Mid Kent provides domestic cleaners in Chatham, Rochester, Strood, Gillingham, Gravesend, the Medway towns, Maidstone, Snodland, Detling, Aylesford, Lenham, Sutton Valence, Ditton, Leeds, Bearsted and East Barming.
We are a franchise business (our network currently cleans for over 3,500 households) and therefore our prices vary across the country, so I’ll begin with the price of our service in this area.
Our cleaners are all self-employed and so as a business we simply add £2.70 onto whatever the cleaner charges. In this area, through a business like ours, the cleaners typically charge £9.00 per hour – so that would be a total of £11.70 per hour. You would pay the cleaner directly, usually each time they clean - but you agree when they would like to be paid, with the cleaner. The Cleanhome business fee would be paid directly to us on a quarterly basis, at the start of the quarter, usually by standing order.
As we are a locally owned business, myself or Janet, personally find the cleaners and meet with every one of them. We meet each prospective cleaner in their own home and that gives us a very good indication of how they live and their own cleaning standards as well as what kind of person they are - which is very important to us.
We check all their ID information, including passport or driving license, utility bills etc. and only If we would have them in our own homes do we then go on to take up two references on each of the cleaners. So long as the references are good, we make the cleaner active on our database and are happy to recommend them to our clients.
The cleaners don’t work in teams so you will get the same cleaner each week/fortnight, who will get used to how you like things done. Should your cleaner be sick or go on holiday we are happy to provide a replacement cleaner from our recommended database, should you require one, and as an extra reassurance to our clients we also carry accidental damage insurance up to £2m
The next steps should you be interested in working with us:
1. We will come and visit you and discuss with you your cleaning requirements.
2. If you decide to go ahead then, based on your requirements, we would match/allocate a cleaner to you and that cleaner would call you directly, usually within a week to arrange to come round and meet you. At this meeting you would show the cleaner around the house to advise what you would like done; agree what day and time they would come to you; confirm the cleaners rate with her and how she would like to be paid etc – and, most importantly, make sure that you are entirely comfortable for them to clean for you.
Our clients always have final approval as you need to be comfortable with whoever you allow into your home
3. If you are happy with the arrangements, then you give the cleaner a start date - and off you go
