Clean Living Norfolk Q&A
What do you love most about your job?
I like to offer a carpet cleaning service second-to-none to my clients and also to manage your expectations. I want you to be absolutely delighted with the outcome so I will try to find out from you what you expect the results to be. You will be amazed at the results I can achieve even with carpets and/or upholstery that you feel may be beyond hope!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having completed 29 years in the British Army where I retired as a Commissioned Officer, Director of Music of the Band of the Dragoon Guards based in Swanton Morley, I worked in education as a School Business Manager.
After a number of years of this and, having been made redundant due to financial difficulties, I decided that it was about time that I did something for me; something completely different. I mentioned this to my long-time mate Steve Armstrong-Watkins at an Army reunion we were both attending and he jokingly said "so why don’t you become a carpet cleaner in Norfolk?"
To be honest it's not something I'd ever considered, I just knew that since leaving HM Armed Forces, I’d never really found my niche, except when making music, the thing I love to do most.
We got together and he explained 'Clean Living', it's standards, it’s morals and it’s duty to the environment. Steve took on the business a number of years ago when it was 8-years-old and the then incumbent decided to up-sticks and emigrate.
What he came up with was not only non-toxic, ozone friendly, ecological, biodegradable and organic but also a fantastic citrus-based cleaning system, which leaves no stickiness and produces an incredible result in the shortest amount of time. This, in turn, leads to quicker drying times.
Why should our clients choose you?
Earlier owners of Clean Living were passionate about their belief in their duty of care to the environment, which was why the current processes took so much time and effort (not to mention money) to set up.
The solution designed specifically for Clean Living is non-toxic (making it safe for your family and pets) ozone friendly, biodegradable, organic and mineral based; so no ‘chemicals’ are used.
I don’t want to go into great detail about the technical aspect of the solutions I use but it is a ‘micro-splitter’. It produces truly amazing cleaning which is super quick to use, with very quick drying times and, more importantly for you, it doesn'’t leave a sticky residue (as other products are prone to do) which actually attract further dirt particles in the months following the clean.
My process does not allow this to happen – in fact all you’ll be left with is fantastically clean carpets and ‘a breath of beautiful fresh air indoors’.
Advice - I am more than willing to offer you advice should you so wish.
Caring - Being house-proud myself, I understand that you will want me to look after your possessions as if they were my own.
Punctual - Having served in the Army for a very, very long time (29 years), punctuality is something I pride myself on and is also important to me.
Outcome - I want you to be absolutely delighted with the outcome so I will try to find out from you what you expect the results to be. Results - You will be amazed at the results I can achieve even with carpets and/or upholstery that you feel may be beyond hope!
