My company offers training within a private fitness studio. The studio is well equipped and provides a comfortable environment. I am a sports scientist and physiotherapist. I also teach personal training and continued professional development courses.

I’ve just completed a 3 month course at Claire Adams Total Health. It was absolutely amazing. I lost weight but most importantly (for me) I lost inches. I’ve had to take a break due to work commitments but I do intend to go back. Claire and her amazing team are so encouraging and I never felt out of my depth. They ARE challenging at every session but they get results. All the clients are like a gym family and the environment was supportive and friendly. I used gym equipment and weights that I would previously have given a wide berth but now feel confident enough to use these in other gym environments. I would most definitely give CATH a go. I've just completed 6 months at CATH and it has been one of the best things I've ever done. It's helped me to rediscover the old me before having children and given me a much needed confidence boost and love of exercise. Claire and her team are fantastic at making you feel at ease whilst pushing you to progress. The small classes mean you get plenty of support and you get to know lots of fantastic people along the way. The changes you make are lifelong rather than a quick fix! Joined CATH 4 months ago & best decision I’ve made relating to improving my fitness. Love the classes & the support from both the coaches and the others at the classes - was very scared at how unfit I was when I joined but the support offered through exercise, nutrition and the people have made it a great experience.

I’ve trained with Claire & her team for a year! This is a really unique concept and there is nothing like this in Edinburgh! The classes are small (Max 6) which means you have personal support and time to focus on technique it’s better than 121 training as you also have a fantastic community of women to train with! Best of both worlds.There’s added bonuses of workshops, nutritional advice, group Facebook, website with recipes - Claire really is forward thinking and ahead of her time!The team are awesome and they really care about your performance and push you to reach your potential! Claire and her team are so supportive and always there to help. The 12 week program has completely changed the way I feel, it’s motivated, boosted my confidence and made workouts seem far less scary. You start the program by having a one to one meeting with Claire where you discuss your goals/aims/ anything that you are unsure about. After every 4 weeks there is a review to make sure you are on the right path. Each trainer is incredibly friendly, helpful and understanding. Initially, I felt shy about the gym but the team is so supportive it makes your fitness journey very easy. The program has made a huge difference and given visible results. If you are looking to kick start your approach to health and fitness ahead of spring/summer, Claire and her team are fantastic, friendly and really motivating. They really invest in you and care about helping you reach your goals and potential (whatever level you're at)!

Been with Claire around 5 months now and was the best decision I have made, I hated the thought of trying to get fit again as I had let myself go so badly but with Claire and the other instructors help and guidance I am taking on things I never dreamed I could do. I have found a new love for weights and plan to continue with their help to make myself better every day, I would highly recommend CATH if you are ready to take those next steps, the classes are adjusted to your ability’s whether it be health related or beginners nerves. If you’re sitting reading reviews on Claire Adams Total Health as I was 9 weeks ago, wondering if it could possibly be as good as it seems. .. it’s even better!! I have surprised myself! not to mention my other half and kids who rolled their eyes on week one and said it would never last...again... ha! wrong! Here I am feeling and seeing the benefits of a healthier lifestyle and group sessions a couple of times a week with a lovely bunch of ladies at all stages of their journey, from me week one (a sit up was an aspiration!) to those who are proof of what can be achieved at CATH, fantastic weight loss, inch loss, strength and lasting health benefits! I haven’t mentioned Claire and team yet! They create a welcoming, non-intimidating, fun, friendly and motivating environment for us to learn and get to work in. The sessions are varied, with options or alternatives offered on each exercise to keep stretching us within our capabilities. Who knew I’d be choosing to get up early to spend a hour exercising and feel the better for it! I joined CATH in January at the heaviest and unhappiest I have ever been. I have struggled with my weight my whole life and have tried every diet club available. I would lose weight but would get so far, get stuck, give up and put it all back on and then some. The advert for CATH came up in my news feed one day (I had been googling gyms in Edinburgh, so thank you Facebook algorithms!) and when looking at the testimonial videos I saw one by a friend at work. The very next day I told her I had been thinking of joining and asked what she thought. She told me to sign up straight away as it would change my life, as it had changed hers. So I did. And it totally has! I had done no exercise before and whilst the first couple of weeks were really hard, it started to get easier and I would look forward to each class. All the trainers are so supportive and make you feel that they genuinely want to help you be the best that you can be. I’ve had some issues with my knees but they have been brilliant at giving me alternatives and adapting the class for me. The support from all the other members really makes a difference too - it’s very much like a wee family!
I’m now at the end of my 24th week and have no intentions of leaving! I’d go every day if I could! I’ve lost 41 inches so far, and although I’m not where I want to be yet, for the first time ever I know that I will get there.
Thanks so much to Claire, Rytis, Barbara and Shane, I couldn’t have done it without you all!

I am so glad I joined this gym. It's the most positive decision I have ever made for myself.
I am fitter, stronger and healthier than I have been in years and I feel so much better for it.

Claire and her trainers offer challenging classes, great advice and lots of encouragement. They take time to understand where you are and where you want to be and they genuinely care about helping you get there.

I have arthritis and hate admitting I can't do an exercise or making a nuisance of myself by asking for something to be changed. But the trainers have all taken the time to understand what I can and can't do and will happily change anything any time. In fact they often change things without me even having to ask and I really appreciate that. I would say to anyone that health problems really are not a barrier here.

My progress has been a bit slower on the nutrition front, I have a real sweet tooth. But Claire and Shane the nutritionist have stuck with me and I am slowly seeing real changes. The advice they have given me has been realistic and I really think I will stick with it long term.

I would recommend Claire Adams Total Health to anyone.

I have now completed my 12 weeks with clair. Before my fitness journey started I was a total couch potato no energy, no stamina and unhealthy.
I was very unsure about the program and I found it difficult at 1st but as the weeks went by and I started feeling better. Having more energy and actually doing more threw out the day plus I started looking and feeling good and happy within myself. My family noticed a big difference in me. Also I managed to.
1. Reverse my blood sugar level from being high to now normal.
2. Stable my cholesterol
3. Lose 34 inches
4.lose just over 9Ibs
5. Also helped with my P.A.D (peripheral artery disease )

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Clair, Rytis and Petko my trainers for all there support.
I would also like to thank all the other members for welcoming me and supporting me within the group.
I hope to re-join again later in the year.
I really miss coming to class and I hope everyone all the best. xxx �

I joined Claire Adams this February and can say it's the best decision I've made in years. After constantly struggling with my weight and trying fad diets I realised I was doing more harm than good. I have so far lost over a stone and 38inches, I am now fitter than I've been in years and feel so much more positive. The support you get from Claire and her team as well as the other ladies really has spurred me on and motivated me I wish I had joined years ago. If your serious about changing your life for the better Claire Adams is the place to be. This is a life changing experience. I am a 50 something who until now has never enjoyed exercise. I now train 3 - 4 times a week and have lost 63 inched in 6 months. I have been working with Claire for over a year and have nothing but good things to say! Claire's knowledge is second to none, she is an excellent trainer, physio and massage therapist. She helped me reach my training goals in two months, and provided a great workout plan and nutritional advise. She helped me design an exercise routine around some medical issues in a way that no other health care professionals have been able to (I have met quiet a few!). Claire is a fantastic physio and have at several occasions been able to pin point exactly what muscle or joint is sore by just watching me move which is very impressive! If I ever feel tired or unmotivated that feeling disappears as soon as I enter the CATH gym, it is such a warm and supportive environment and I am really looking forward to another year of growth with this awesome team! I have been with CATH for 16 weeks now. Best thing i ever done. I have achieved so much in such a short period of time. Claire and the trainers are superb and will support you 100% with your journey. I have lost 1 stone 3lbs and 40 inches in 16 weeks. Best of all though I feel fabulous. I am strong, fit and healthy and have changed my whole mindset towards food. I joined Claire Adams Total Health Gym in November 2017. It has been the perfect fit for me. Small, friendly atmosphere, great equipment and the best trainers. I have been encouraged, motivated and the accountability is very important to keep to your booked sessions.
I have lost weight, inches and improved my fitness, toned my body too. Most important too, is my continued mental health. I am a more positive person, able to prioritise my life easier and not let things get on top of me.
I am also amazed at the exercises I can now do and my increased strength.
I can definitely recommend CATH to any one interested in improving the quality of their life.

I joined Claire Adams because I wanted to feel strong both physically and mentally and it was the best decision I could have made. I did the 12 week course and loved every single day of it. Claire is a wonderful person full of positivity and enthusiasm, and the other trainers are amazing; every session was different so I was never bored. Claire really knows how to help people achieve great results in a comparatively short time. Hours of sedentary work meant I was struggling to do the things I used to like such as cycling and I was fed up and wanting to do something about it. Twelve weeks later I am 2 dress sizes smaller, am far fitter and learned new things. It is the combination of gym sessions, diet and support that you get from Claire and her team that makes things go so well. As a person who felt awkward and uncomfortable in gyms, the people you meet and the way things are organized mean the sessions are hard work but good fun. I have trained with Claire for a year now and I am currently the healthiest I have ever been.
I initially signed up due to a very painful hip and unable to walk the length of myself without extreme pain. Within 4 months of training with Claire and the gang I was completely pain free. As I say my fare well ( for now) I wanted to say a huge thank you to Claire Adams and Rytis! I joined the gym in September 2017 when I was at my lowest and unfittest I've been in years. I had no energy and everything I did seemed like a mahoosive chore. I was at my breaking point as I've tried several diets and tried to keep fit one way or another but I kept failing. And when I was about give in I found CATH and it was definately my best choice. I changed my diet, my attitude to food and even booze changed too, I became addicted to the gym and the atmosphere and the overall attitude made me feel at home. I know I can be sarky (in a funny way) and loud and I get my giggles on or instead of jumping jacks I chose to have a wee rave on top of the cube even though the choice of music was not my cup of tea �� those who know me well know that my choice of music would do your box in � Claire and Rytis pushed my limits to the max from day one and it felt amazing....bloody sore but amazing! They helped me and supported me immensely and 6 months later I am full of energy, confidence and my self-esteem is through the roof ( and so is my modesty apparently �) and I have made new incredible friends.
Ladies, you chose the best out of the best. Keep up the amazing work and those smiles. You can and will do it! ���

I initially started training with Claire after my second baby. From the minute I stepped into her studio I felt at ease. Claire is excellent at motivating you to reach your goals and the support she gives you on your journey is incredible!!

I’ve never really enjoyed exercising but with Claire the time just flies by, it’s no surprise to me to see how far she has come, her business just seems to be going from strength to strength as are the number of happy clients!

Claire is 100% focused on her clients and is always updating her studio with new equipment to help them further. If you want results then train with Claire,
I did and I would never look back!!

I started training with Claire and the team nearly eight months ago and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I joined at a time when I had gained quite a bit of weight, was eating very badly and had lost all motivation to exercise. I needed something and someone to help me get back on track and this definitely came in the form of Claire and her team, whom I can't thank enough.
As soon as I walked in the door I found that everyone was very friendly and encouraging. I felt the sessions to be tough initially but found that each one started to get easier as my fitness improved and I soon found that I was loving each session and really looking forward to going to the studio. All of the trainers are excellent, extremely supportive and encouraging and always happy to help with any questions/advice. The trainers tailor each session to individual needs and I love how I am always being encouraged and pushed to do more cardio/lift heavier weights.
Along with the sessions there are regular sit down meetings and reviews with Claire who is keen to listen to your aims/goals and always happy to help in anyway that she can in order to achieve these. Claire is extremely supportive and has motivated me throughout my journey at CATH, I cannot thank her enough for all of her ongoing help and support. Over the past eight months I have lost a great deal of weight and inches over my body, got much leaner/stronger and in the process I have dropped three dress sizes which I could not be happier about. Claire and the team have helped me to lose weight, get my confidence back and really boost my self esteem. All in all I am a much happier person now compared to the person who first walked into the studio eight months ago and that is all down to Claire, her team and my own determination.
I have met so many amazing ladies along the way all of whom are on their own journey. This group of ladies is extremely supportive, friendly and a joy to train with. I would definitely recommend Clare and her team to anyone who is struggling with their weight/fitness/health as I can honestly say that they have helped me to completely change and overhaul my life over the past eight months.

I started with CATH 12 weeks ago. I've struggled with my health for a while now and had given up on ever being fit again and resigned myself to being over weight.
These past twelve weeks have changed my life. I'm loosing weight, feeling healthier and now have a positive attitude to life.
The past twelve weeks have been personally challenging and rewarding all at the same time. I couldnt recommend Claire more. Her professional approach and lovely, caring personality is joy to be around and she believes in you, even when you don't.
I'm looking forward now to my next 3 months and what I can achieve next.

I initially signed up with Claire about 18 months ago. My progress has been fantastic, I’m much stronger and fitter.

At the beginning of last year I discovered I was pregnant (one of my goals for the year), I continued to exercise throughout my pregnancy up to 38 weeks with Claire’s support and advice. I felt safe throughout the exercises and am sure that my swift return to prepregnancy weight and body shape. I can’t wait to get back to it!

I miss you Claire & I certainly wouldn’t train with anyone else.

I joined Claire Adams Total Health seven months ago to get more control over my health and I have loved improving my strength and flexibility while getting extensive support to improve my eating habits.

This is a long term journey for me, to enable me to manage a chronic health condition to the best of my ability and Claire has given me the tools, training and confidence to go for this.

The trainers are very good, they all push you hard so that you can see impressive results but always at your own pace. The nutritional support is excellent with well timed challenges to help you improve and move on with your journey. The rest of the crew are lovely and supportive, in class and in the online support pages.

Claire Adams Total Health has made a huge difference to my life. I went to Claire with a fitness goal, I wanted to be stronger both physically and mentally. Claire and her team went out of their way to help me achieve this, which I did. She provided a very friendly and fun environment in which to train with first class trainers all of whom ensured I trained to the best of my ability at all times. Claire really knows how to achieve results - she has with me. I was fed up with working long hours sitting down and getting less able to do the things I enjoyed like cycling so I gave her a call. I started the 12 week programme with some trepidation - I was rubbish at gym at school and previous trips to health clubs felt odd and intimidating. However the other people are friendly and the training varies all the time. It stretches you so you get fitter faster and is very addictive. Claire is very supportive and so are her team and the group. Food advice is always there and there is a large programme of recipes to get you started and challenges to keep you on track. When I tried to train myself I used to pull muscles and stop - not this time. So if you want to feel tonnes better and drop two dress sizes give it a go. Great personal trainer love the group sessions. Finally starting to feel good about myself again. Would recommend her to anyone feeling nervous about doing exercise after a prolonged brake or pregnancy for example. She works you hard without you feeling like she's judging or angry with you. Been training with Claire since may now.first signed up due to having back surgery and wanted to get fit after over a year out of the gym,Claire came highly recommended by a friend of mine.

Claire is very dedicated to her job and even more so her clients,sessions are hard but enjoyable. If your feeling a bit down then she is only a text or phone call away to get you back on track. Claire's results with clients says it all,everyone smashing there goals and more.

I have been training with Claire since the end of June 2016. To date, I am delighted with my results and I know I can continue on the programme and keep working towards my personal targets.

Claire is a highly motivated trainer, who gives you all the tools and support to allow you to achieve your goals.

I am working harder in the gym than I ever have and this is down to Claire. She makes training enjoyable and gives you the encouragement needed to keep you focussed on your personal plans.
