Grimey, no bs, no gimmicks fighting gym. For the Muay Thai class, I like that there’s about as many women as men. The coach gave me feedback on my kicks and stances as I went through the workout. And while it was painful, I want to do it again! More...

I just started here. I’ve never boxed at any gym ever. And although I’m surrounded by tons of experienced people, I’ve never felt left out. If you’re thinking about joining, at least go visit one of the gyms and see how non-corporate, down to earth the facilities are. It’ll be worth your time. More...

The best and most intense workout of all. Â This is real, intense fight style training and levels above what you get at the typical gyms. I do muay thai privates with Chris, the Sat muay thai class and 7am bootcamp classes by Lee. Â Have been doing it for 5 years. Â It's similar to HIIT but for a whole hour, non stop. Â This high intensity "bursts" training is what makes you more cut and increase metabolic rate.Very friendly staff. Â Highly recommend. More...

Boxing- all levels with Maurice! Absolutely loved this class, it was my first time at the gym and a great first class, I really learned so much. It was the perfect mixture of conditioning, mitt work, heavy bag technique, defense, and footwork, all within an hour. I appreciated his pointers and coaching throughout. The gym felt like a safe space to make mistakes and learn etc, which I’ve been seeking out in other gyms. I will definitely be back! More...

I went to a free trial class with Kenny and I can see why other people commenting that the classes here are kind of random. Kenny casually mentioned things to do which didn't seem very structured. However, I checked my fitbit heart rate tracking and this "unstructured" class got me more workout done than other structured boxing classes. Also, I really liked that Kenny would watch and pick up things that I didn't do correctly and taught us basic things because we are beginners. He was very friendly and the class was extremely challenging. Even though I wish there were more amenities, I liked that the environment felt like the boxing gyms in Creed and other movies! There were real boxers practicing everyday instead of just people coming to the classes for fitness only. More...

Best Boxing gym in NYC hands down. I have been Boxing for 10 years, from LA. It took me a month of making my rounds checking out different gyms all over NYC to finally land here at Church Street. Great people here, Genero is a class act owner, Lee is a phenomenal trainer and all around fun guy, and Nicco is top notch trainer that will keep a smile on your face as well! I have just saved you yelpers a month of searching! More...

I always thought Church Street Boxing was a landmark or some historical place because I grew up in NYC. When I finally trained there for the first time recenty, I realized it is amazing place to train and develop being in an actual boxing ring.Luved it and will be back for sure!

This is a place where you can learn how to actually box and have a good workout at the same time. EVERY staff is extremely nice and helpful. I've taken almost all the trainers classes and I absolutely loved every one of them. One on one with Scrap has been helping me build foundations and fighting skills significantly. He pushes me to work hard in every class and I LOVE it! I saw some comments about the gym is not clean, etc. Again this is a boxing gym, where people put their sweat and hard work in, things get dirty when you fight. If you are looking for a nice place to get a regular workout then crunch at Fidi or Equinox May be a better option. Church is more than a gym, it's a community where you get to see people with all backgrounds that come together to be better themselves. More...
