Seen Chris Cross before in Newcastle with my eldest daughter, but saw he was performing at our local theatre and had to take the rest of the family to experience his performance. I love the comedy he adds to his magic performance and now my youngest daughter aged 8 is also a fan after laughing at his performance! What makes photo booths such a great alternative to traditional photographers?
I got into magic because I love amusing, baffling and entertaining people - the laughter is a bonus! I perform magic because I enjoy it. I wouldn't do something every day that I didn't enjoy doing. The photobooth is very similar to the magic - I had a photobooth for my 21st and it was great fun, everyone enjoyed themselves and I got a great candid album of my friends and family having a good time at my party and writing messages in the album too. It's something I'll keep forever. I thought to myself ''I've got to get me one of these - they're great!'' So I did. I couldn't sell something I didn't believe in. So... I bought the photobooth and hire it out at weddings, corporate events, etc. It's great fun, it's interactive, it's easy to do and you get a souvenir to keep from it, what more can you want from a feature at your party?
What photo booth props do you offer?
Any props you want. We have the basics: Funny hats, wigs, jumbo glasses, inflatable animals, feather boas, masks, etc! We can also supply specific props or you can provide us with some of your own custom props to include in our prop box at your party!
How long have you been interested in magic?
I learned my first trick when I was 10 years old and haven't looked back - that's almost two decades in Show business!
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
I can perform close-up magic -
Think Card tricks, Coin Tricks and Up Close Fast Magic Trickery Sleight of Hand, Mixed with Quick-witted Banter and Observational Comedy.
What do you love most about your job?
I Love watching the reactions on People's Faces after my tricks!
It really is satisfying to know that my entertainment is helping to create memories of an event that should be remembered!
What inspired you to start your own business?
It was a natural progression.... After learning my first trick aged 10 I continued to learn more and more tricks and practice lots.
By age 13 I was working just for tips around the bars and nightclubs of Newcastle and making enough money to do well for myself.
As a result, I left school ASAP aged 16 and set-up as a self-employed entertainer and I haven't looked back!
