Me and my 5 day old daughter, Isabelle were in having a new born photo shoot today. From the moment we entered the studio we were both very chilled out and made to feel very welcome.

Throughout the whole experience, Chris made sure that Isabelle was happy and comfortable. This made me feel more relaxed knowing she was in safe hands.

From the few snippets I got to see on the camera during the shoot, I am so excited to see the final photos! It will be very difficult to chose my favourite!

I would highly recommend these guys to any new parent looking for a new born shoot and I will definitely return to them in the future should we have more children!

Couldn't recommend Chocolate Chip enough. Chris and Shazia captured our wedding perfectly with their unique style and the photos are exactly what we hoped for! They helped our day run smoothly, were very organised, but also at times felt like one of the guests which helped them get some amazing shots of our guests on the night.

We were extremely fortunate to win a newborn photo shoot in December and our due date finally arrived at the end of March. We attended the studio when Riley was 8 days old and could not have been happier with our experience, Chris was fantastic and so gentle with our newborn and our older son who also came along (always helps talking about superheroes!) and he always made sure he was comfortable and settled. We have just returned today to view our images and were greeted by Chris as if we were old friends. We are absolutely over the moon with all of the images and have memories to treasure forever. We knew immediately when we met Chris and Shazia that we had to go with them and it was the best decision ever. They are the most wonderful people and do the most amazing work. In the build up to the wedding, they were always on the other side of the phone with whatever questions we had and we had the best pre wedding shoot with them. On the wedding day, it would not have been the same without them. Shazia was a really calming influence on the morning of the wedding and she was just so helpful!! The back of my dress broke and she helped me fix it - she had solutions to every problem that came up! She was so much fun to be around and really made the experience amazing. Chris was just fantastic on the wedding day - he really took charge and controlled what was going on on the day. Our wedding was a long, very complicated one as we had both a church wedding and an indian wedding and they captured every moment of it brilliantly. The photos that we received of our wedding were absolutely stunning and we love every single one of them (and there are a lot!!) The key thing is that they made us very comfortable in their presence which translates into our photos and everyone got alone with them on the day (our guests loved them too!) We were the lucky winners of a newborn photoshoot with chris at chocolate chip! As all new mums know you always feel apprehensive about someone else handling your baby. I shouldn’t have worried chris was an absolute star with Noah. He was like a baby whisperer kept Noah calm and comfortable through out. He had thought of absolutely everything to make our time their comfortable and easy even had a tommee tippee machine to make feeding easier if using bottles. I was a breast feeding mum and Chris made me feel at ease and comfortable to breast feed. The studio was made to feel comfortable and well prepped everything was well thought out.

I knew on the day I was going to be getting some lovely photos from what I could see going on however even I was shocked at how beautiful Noah’s photos were even reduced me to tears they were that beautiful. If you want amazing photos of your new born and to be blown away chris is definitely the photographer for you and he is so welcoming and friendly. Thank you for an amazing unforgettable experience. We brought our newborn Jonah at just 6 days old for a photo session with Chris. He was amazing and really good with Jonah. He was so patient whilst we fed and changed Jonah several times between the session. He settled him so well and captured the most amazing shots. We have just picked our fine art and digital prints up and can't thank Chris enough for the memories that will remain on our wall forever. (I may have shed a tear or two). Chocolate Chip are amazing...simple! Myself and husband collected our wedding photographs and I am in love with them we got to relive our day all over again looking at them. After weeks of researching what felt like every photographer in the north east we finally booked an appointment with Chocolate Chip after being given a recommendation from our florist. They were everything I was looking for!
Approachable, creative and actually interested in what we liked and what our vision was for the wedding.
On the day Chris was fantastic, very professional and disappeared into the back ground - to the point that after the wedding I was disappointed that I thought we wouldn’t have many photos as I hadn’t really seen him! I was wrong. The photos are beautiful! Not a cliche in sight! A real mix of natural shots and amazing set up images that reflect the atmosphere of the day perfectly.

I honestly don't think words can describe how much I love our photos or how thankful I am to shazia for being there on the day and the work she has done afterwards. On the day she wasn't just our photographer, she was constantly helping me with my dress, helping guests with our polaroid photo booth and generally just fitting in with the wedding party as if she belonged there as our friend. We felt so comfortable around her and I know a lot of people who were there have said they were really impressed with her, my brother in particular thinks she's ace! We won a competition to have a newborn shoot for our twins and I am honestly so pleased that we did. We had the most amazing experience from the shoot to the viewing and then collecting what we purchased today. Chris was absolutely amazing with our tiny precious babies, it was a long day for a tired Mam and Dad but it was so worth it. Shortly after the shoot we went back to have a viewing of the photos and we were not disappointed at all. The products on offer are of such high quality we struggled to pick what we wanted. After waiting patiently today we finally picked up our images and our fine art natural frame and all I can say is wow!!! They look fab at the viewing but seeing what we choose today i have no words � the only thing that made me sad was I have realised even more how quickly my babies have grown, which made me so pleased we have these beautiful images to remind us. Of all of the suppliers for our wedding Chocolate Chip were our favourite and worth every penny! We met Shazia and Chris at a wedding fayre with a room full of other photographers they really stood out. We got chatting to them and knew we wanted to book them just by talking to them as they made us feel relaxed and we really liked their personalities. Then we looked at their other work and win win their work was much better quality than the other photographers in the room.

Throughout the whole process they were really good and they had really good advice and tips on the whole planning process and other wedding related stuff. On the day they were also the glue holding the day together making sure everything was going as it should be.

On the day Shazia was with me and my bridesmaids and she shrunk into the background and got loads of shots where I hadn't even realised she was there. She also has a lovely temperament with all of my family saying what a lovely lady she is.

Chris was also amazing with our guests, taking charge of them but not in too pushy a manner. He knew exactly how to manage everyone and make them all laugh. Also me and all of my guests loved his poncho and camera holster.

Throughout the day they were not intrusive and had everything planned beforehand so we didn't have to think about anything and weren't being bothered at all.

After the wedding we got our photos back really fast and they're amazing. We really love all of the shots but mostly I think our day went smoother by having them there putting us at ease. We were really glad to have them there as part of our day. More...

What can we say about chocolate chip photography, since meeting them on that very first meeting we just hit it off and just knew they were the ones for our wedding day and we barely even talked about photography! we got an awesome vibe from Chris and Shazia and their work speaks for itself! They are both mega talented and on the day of the wedding go above and beyond their roles of wedding photographers/videographers! Wow, amazing time spent with our little lady and Chris, we were made to feel at home from the second we arrived and the session was nothing but relaxed just as you said. We are extremely excited to return to view the photos!

Being a plus size bride, the idea of having my photo taken causes me quite a bit of anxiety. I also had such high hopes that I would love my wedding photos, as any bride would, but I kept thinking about how I was going to ruin them. Shazia made me feel so comfortable when she was taking our photos and we hardly noticed her (even with blue hair!) as she snapped the day in the background. She kept my lipstick and my perfume in one of her many camera bags and even helped my mum and friend get my dress on. It didn't feel like someone I'd hired to take photos was around all day, she just blended in and chatted and ninja'd around. She had such a long day but didn't leave until she was happy that she had snapped as many evening guests as possible. Even though she was on holiday straight after my wedding, our photos were ready much sooner than I'd thought! I LOVE every single photo. She captured everything. Every beautiful detail that I would like to remember. And I look beautiful in all of them! We couldn't be more grateful for what she did. She is extremely talented, very professional, and an actual human being. Could not recommend her enough, and our only regret is not being able to get both of them. Chocolate Chip Photography did my Maternity and Newborn photos. I can thoroughly recommend them. I’m so pleased I chose them to do this once in a lifetime set of photos. Right from the maternity photos, I felt so much at ease and even felt confident enough to do some very natural shots with my husband when I was 36 weeks pregnant. Shazia has such a keen eye for detail and Chris has endless patience to get that perfect shot with your baby.My daughter, Grace, was just 4 days old when they did her newborn photos. After a traumatic emergency caesarian birth, I was very drained by this time but was able to leave Grace in Chris’s hands while I relaxed in the comfy viewing area in the studio. All I needed to do was feed her and change her nappy as required. When Grace was 10 days old we also had some family shots done with my 16 year old son to complete the set. We now have a set of beautiful and unique photos to celebrate Grace’s early days and have two incredible pieces of artwork on our walls: one includes Grace with a unique prop; the other is a set of four prints of our family in one. Both are in gorgeous, modern frames. Seeing those shots in series the first time with lovely music playing in the background during the viewing session was such an emotional experience for us both.If this is something you’re considering having done, I would definitely choose Chocolate Chip Photography. Chris you utter legend!!!! the images of our new born are amazing, love the ones with his big sister in too. Amelia has been asking why she is not in them all so we may have to have a photo shoot for our new little model wannabe. Chris and Shaz were everything we wanted from wedding photographers. We saw their work at a wedding fare and they stood out against a crowd of photographers employing gimmicks rather than great, emotive and genuine shots. <br /><br />We went for the full package and we're over the moon with what we received. Shazia was brilliant at our wedding. There are so many wonderful pictures that capture the precious moments of the day. There are many photos we did not even realise were taken. WOW!! Looking at our photographs, takes us back to the best day of our lives. <br /><br />We went for the basic package but there is nothing basic about the images we have to treasure. Chris was very friendly and did his utmost to capture every single moment of his time with us. Chris asked us for a list of the "must have" shots and boy did he exceed!! Family and friends have commented on the<span id="moreReview528195" class="hide"> photographs saying how amazing and clear each one is. They hadn't even realised the camera was on them. We could not have asked for more from Chocolate Chip! Our wedding photographs are beautiful and Chris was amazing on the day with how much he helped everything go so smoothly. We got the medium sized album, which was excellent quality and definitely worth the money. We also got a DVD of the day which included a montage, the service, speeches, the first dance and interviews with our family. After booking Chocolate Chip Photography for our wedding, the next step was to introduce Chris to the venue. Chris had never worked at Slaley Hall before and he was keen to have a look around, get our ideas for snap shots and find a plan B if it rained. Chris was very friendly and helpful from the start. On the day he was discrete during the ceremony and stuck by the guidelines provided by the registrar. He made sure to take all the photos on the list and stayed longer than expected to cover the speeches. As I was a novice to being professionally photographed I think it would have been beneficial to have had more personal advice regarding what<span id="moreReview510229" class="hide"> photos to take as I think I focused too much on group shots and not enough of just us (and our son). I wish we'd had more time for arty shots. Downside to the service was it took 2 months to get the photos but Chris explained it had been a hectic time for them. From the moment we met Chris we knew he was the photographer for us his friendly yet professional approach made us feel very comfortable. We used Chocolate Chip ohotography to photograph our recent wedding. We selected the basic package with a single photographer. They were very helpful in the lead up to the wedding coming to our house and meeting us at the venue to discuss arrangements. On the day Chris was very professional and friendly.
