Went on a Monday night, so wasn't expecting an amazing atmosphere but was pleasantly surprised. Food was good and portions were large. Both the garlic knots starter and the chowder starter were large enough for mains. Chili beef was very good, I can understand why it's a speciality. Good value, good atmosphere, good food. Just... Excellent food. There was 6 of us on a Sunday. They serve a full menu alongside a Sunday dinner menu. I had the roast beef and it was delicious. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been a couple of times over the last couple of weeks. The huge range of cocktails is fantastic and they really do look and taste fabulous! The staff go to a great deal of trouble to make them extra special however at £7.50 each I think they are a little expensive. The food was fine but I thought the service was fantastic. I’ve seen some recent reviews where they complained about service but my experience was the opposite, the staff member that looked after our table, Sam, was really great, he was very attentive, courteous, friendly and efficient so we left a good tip!! � More...

Despite being short staffed for my celebration party, our host worked tirelessly to ensure that we got our drinks and food in a timely manner. This is an historic venue for me as I lived in Hartford until my 18th birthday.

Credit where credit is due..... we decided this morning to book for Sunday lunch after seeing the menu on Facebook and we were not left disappointed! We booked the mobile pizza oven for a christening celebration. It was amazing and we couldn't recommend it enough.

Scott suggested a couple of the pizzas as standard then we picked 4 more from the menu. These were all written up on the blackboard for our guests to see and order from. However as every pizza is made fresh, people could have any combination from the ingredients available which is particularly good for people with food allergies (and fussy children!).

The pizzas were fabulous and everyone throughly enjoyed them. Just need to find a reason to book them again now. More...

Beautiful food. Booked a table but on arrival we found it was upstairs. On informing them that mother would not be able to use the stairs they immediately rallied round and found a downstairs table for us.

I ate at Chime recently and had a very enjoyable evening. There are a wide range of drinks available and the food, whilst not the largest of menus, is on the whole well done. It can get a little noisy downstairs if you are sat around the front door but the upstairs in particular is very nice with a quirky layout. Having looked at reviews for Chime we booked for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed, the food was cooked very well and the service was exceptional, our waitress was fabulous and couldn't do enough to make our experience a good one. The dessert to share was sensational and I'd highly recommend it. I only have one criticism which is that as we were sitting eating lunch two people where shown to a table near us who unfortunately were wearing inappropriate clothing for what we would consider quite a smart restaurant. One guy had jersey shorts on and the other was wearing trackie bottoms. We are all for smart casual because in this day and age we move with the times but sorry management I think you should have a policy for smart dress only. More...
