We had some family photos done by Laura last year and I would definitely recommend Cherry Red Photography to anyone! I have a very hyperactive little boy who does not do well being told to sit still and smile, so having the photos taken outside of a studio really suited him, and Laura managed to keep up with him and capture some of the best family photos we have. i just wanted to thank you so much laura your work is insane, the photos of our gorgeous little one literally made me cry ( yep im a massive sop) i was a bit nervous about the whole shoot as newborns can be quite tempermental with eating sleeping and just not doing what you want them to, laura made us feel very relaxed the whole time and kept us hydrated with lots of coffee whenever we needed to have a break to feed or change meadow, i came away from the shoot so excited about seeing the finnished images, which took only 2 weeks from the shoot.
any one thinking of having a newborn shoot should go for it, definately worth every penny to capture that special tiny weeny time of your little ones life. thanks again laura we will be back : )xx More...

When our son was a few months old We booked a family photo session with Laura at Cherry Red Photography. I had seen other family photo sessions she had done and always loved her creativity and particularly how natural the photos looked. I was not disappointed. My husband and I have a particular dislike for clinical staged photos and these were completely the opposite. I absolutely love the way Laura works with a professionalism but ever so personal at the same time. She gave us just enough direction so that we engaged with each other which meant the pictures are full of real emotion but not so much that it felt unnatural or false. Being a family who are always outdoors, I love the fact they have been taken outside. My son is now 19 months old and I can honestly say these pictures remain my favourite that have been taken of our family. Thank you Laura for the newborn shoot you did of our daughter Isla. We had selected Laura to be out photographer due to recommendation from family and friends and were not disappointed. Initial communication was thorough, prompt and friendly. The shoot was relaxed and Laura was so patient with the unexpected delays that occurred when photograhing a newborn. I messaged Cherry Red two weeks ago with a panic request for last minute professional headshots. Laura relied within no time and then whipped my shoot and pictures around in no time. I was really anxious to use an alternative photographer at such last minute. Industry headshot are very specific. We have had two newborn shoots with Laura now, one with our son two years ago and most recently with our twin daughters. Both times Laura has made us feel very relaxed and this has been reflected in the style of the resulting photos. With our second session she came to our house for the shoot and with a toddler and newborn twins this was definitely more convenient and comfortable for us! After spending a lot of time looking at websites for a photographer in our area, we really felt Laura at Cherry Red was the one for us. Organising a family of 10 needed some planning, and Laura did that so well! We chatted about what we wanted from our session, and I knew that Laura grasped our ideas, just relaxed and happy family pics.

So, 6 adults, 4 children, one photographer and an Autumn day full of beautiful colour and we were set! Laura put us at our ease straight away, and within minutes she had us all smiling and laughing at her funny quips, the perfect recipe for good photos! There was no rushing to get the photos done, and her ability to get the grandchildren to relax was fantastic. It was a real fun photo shoot.

That same evening we previewed the album, and I had to stop half way through to wipe away the tears! Our 4 amazing grandchildren, and she captured their individual characters perfectly. I can't wait to get the prints up on my walls at home.

When Lauren and I first got in touch with Laura about 4 years before the wedding, whilst we were in Australia, she thought we were having a joke! But by the time we finally met her it felt like we'd known her for years (I suppose we had, but we'd only spoken by email). When we first told Laura about the plans for our wedding (50’s and superheroes!!!) she got so excited that we knew she would definitely be our photographer, no matter how long the wait would end up being! And it was definitely worth the wait, we think Laura enjoyed herself almost as much as we did, on the day she was more like our friend than just our photographer and it definitely shows, the photos are amazing and we’re struggling not to order all of them for around the flat. What can I say. After seeing my close friends wedding photos Cherry Red Photography was an easy choice. Laura has been fantastic from start to finish. Our engagement shoot was great fun and she managed to really captured the true us. No staged poses just natural (with subtle guidance when needed).
On our wedding day Laura arrived early and completely put me at ease when the nerves started to kick in. She even held my vows in the ceremony, ready to be passed at the right moment. Both Laura and her assistant Emma blended in with our guests effortlessly and managed to capture some truly magical moments. Their skill of using the venues assets was also fantastic. Both were very sensitive to our photo requests and adaptable especially when parts of our day ran slightly late. They even stayed to capture the first part of the evening celebrations. We 100% trusted both photographers and are now very lucky to have photos we can cherish for many years to come. Would highly recommend for your big day!

What she was able to visualise and capture was truly stunning, we couldn't be happier with how they have come out.
