Having moved recently into Cambridge area, I needed to find a dentist clinic. Luckily, I found the Cherry Hinton Dental Centre. The staff is wonderful and friendly, from the reception to the assistant and the Dentist Doctor herself. I was well looked after and every procedure was explained thoroughly and all my questions answered. Overall, I could not have wished for a better team to look after my teeth! The team are always friendly and the dentist always explains what treatment is being carried out and why it is needed. Something really important to me is not being kept waiting, I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for my appointments, which is. I am a very nervous patient, I booked into cherry Hinton dentist and told them of my fear, I think my shaking in the chair confirmed this for Joanne my dentist. This is a very good dental practice and I personally have always gone private.Yes I am lucky as it’s a stone throw away but even so. An older crown had failed while visiting family and the practice was convenient. Very friendly staff, clean and neat rooms. Joanna did a great job of explaining the problem and treatment options. I do not dread dental work but even so she inspired confidence and is obviously skilled.The finished crown has worked out great.One note, dental work seems to be less expensive in the US than the UK so I was surprised at the cost and i did not get alternative quotes so I have no idea how the charges compare to other UK dental offices.Also, there is a great barber shop opposite. It took a head crippling toothache to force me through the door of this establishment and to break a 25-year long avoidance of dentists. Within minutes I was put at ease and wondering what all the fuss had been about. I'm now a regular visitor.It's a small team here. Having held back going to the dentists until I was almost unable to eat the thaught of being in that dreaded chair frightened the life out of me! But on a strong recommendation from some friends I decided to pay these lovely young ladies a well overdue visit and boy am I glad I did! The experience in every way could not have been any better, from the warm greeting at reception right the way through to 'that' chair! (which now bothers me not one it!) The whole process was explained and made thoroughly understandable which put me at great ease and in a good frame of mind after a few weeks of worry!The root canal work that so many people told me to avoid due to pain,cost and effectiveness could not have gone any better(so much so that with my headphones in and my music playing I was so relaxed i very nearly fell asleep!) and seems to have been a complete success.
