The food was good as usual and seasoned just right. I got both fried lemon pepper turkey wings and baked seasonings turkey wings with mac & cheese. I was well pleased with my food. I always look forward to supporting Chef T and all other black owned businesses. To all thoses given negative reviews, I want you to put yourselves in the shoes of a black owner of any establishment. I ordered the fried rice with shrimp. This is not your typical rice, veggies, shrimp deal. It is rice and shrimp. For ME that was great. The flavor was popping with a slight kick to it. To me, this did not have a soy sauce type flavor, thank God! To me it had more of a Caribbean flair to it and I loved it. The shrimp were tender and flavorful and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the food I ordered. I gave 4 stars only because the Facebook page said they’d be open at 12 and when I arrived at 12:05, the gate was still locked. My husband and son ended up waiting for me in the car for over 35 minutes. Once I ordered, they moved pretty quickly.
I ordered the bbq wings, lemon pepper wings, fries, mac and cheese, collards, and the shrimp and teriyaki chicken hibachi plate. I thoroughly enjoyed everything! My favorite was the baked bbq wings. They were so flavorful and tender. The lemon pepper wings were delicious too, but the bbq was speaking to me. The macaroni was very well seasoned. I ate almost all of that in the car on the way home. I loved the flavor of the collards although they were a little soft for my preference. I’d still get them again though. A corn muffin was included in the meal which was well prepared.
I have only taken a couple bites of the hibachi plate but what I tasted was very good. The shrimp wasn’t heavily seasoned but it was cooked well. The teriyaki chicken was delicious! Perfect amount of sweetness. I could’ve used more sauce but that’s just personal preference. Next time I’ll get extra. The only thing I haven’t tasted is the yum yum sauce but I’m stuffed and can’t eat another bite right now. I’m optimistic that it will be great seeing as how everything else was excellent. My 2 meals cost $30 which was a bit pricey BUT I left with like 10lbs of food in my bag. Easily enough food to last through lunch tomorrow and I have a large appetite being 6 months pregnant. As long as I can count on them to be open on time, I will certainly be back! More...

This place is awesome!!! Chef T is a fantastic restaurant. Everyone is so nice. Even met Chef T and it was her birthday! ! . Best home cookin I’ve had in a longggg time. Two fried pork chops, rice and gravy, Mac and cheese and fried okra drizzled with honey! You hungry yet You oughta be. Anytime I pass through Columbia I will be stopping here. And she had her jam rocking! I wish I could give her 10 stars. And I wish I was sitting in front a plate of pork chops right now! Or wings! The menu is great and those veggies.
