Beautiful interior aesthetic, great and efficient service, and WOW delicious food 100%! My friends and I got 3 dishes to share, and I was shocked by  how much flavor they all held. We got the Gnocchi Rosa, Crispy Farm Chicken, and the Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe! Highly recommend all three, especially the Tonnarelli! My only complaint would be about the small portions, but otherwise, it was a great experience. More...

Came here with no reservations and sat by the bar. It was a late lunch so there were loads of space left. The place itself was pretty funny with lots of Run DMC stuff being on display. The music was also pretty good. We took advantage of the prix fixe menu which was pretty good at $32 for 2 courses. For starters we ordered the Burrata which was divine and also the grilled Octopus which was also nice but a tad on the saltier side. Nevertheless we polished it off. For mains, we ordered the rigatoni with octopus and also Cacio e Pepe. My favourite out of the two was the Cacio e Pepe. The rigatoni was also nice but again on the saltier side. Complimentary breadsticks which were really nice and I wish I could take home were also given whilst we waited for our food. Would give this place 4.5/5 if there was an option to do so! More...

Last big night in NY And heard  Charlie bird was amazing.  All of our meals were extremely delicious along with the two appetizers. The sommelier was fantastic and the service was great however the music seemed completely out of character for the vibe of the restaurant. It was so loud hip hop and vulgar it was hard to hear the waiter or across the table. I would highly recommend going however don't think I would go back if this is the style every night. More...

I am so glad someone recommended this place to me because I am never in that area so I am thrilled I got to experience this restaurant. Burrata is to die for and you can't go wrong with any of the pastas. Cacio E Pepe was everything a Cacio E Pepe should be and more. Even the fries are something special here!! I want to go back ASAP and try more things on the menu because it all sounds delicious. More...

It's no secret that Italy is famous for their pasta so naturally when I spent 2 weeks there earlier this year, I indulged in a variety of pasta dishes. One of my absolute favorites dishes was Cacio e Pepe. Since returning home, I've found it near impossible to match what I had tasted in Italy. However, Charlie Bird in Manhattan provides diners with an outstanding version of Cacio e Pepe as the pasta is cooked perfectly al dente with just enough black pepper and pecorino cheese to make you feel like you're back in Rome! I've lived in New York for a number of years and this place has been recommended to me hundreds of times. Last week I finally got to taste what all the hype was about. I had the razor clams as an appetizer and the octopus ragu as my entrée. Both items were excellent! The clams were the highlight of my meal, the natural freshness of the mollusks mixed with the spice of the chilies excited every bud on my pallet. The ragu was fabulous as well, I cant wait to come back and try more items especially the farro salad. More...

Love this place. Very cozy. I like the good vibe here. Good service and good food as well, just a little bit over price but it's worth a good dining experience and with great ambiance. Definitely will be back sometime. This place is also good for romantic dates (it feels like it but I didn't come here for a date). Make sure to come in before the big crowd to get a table for two (small party). Unfortunately they don't take advance reservations for two, but they can accommodate you based on availability upon arrival. The bar is open seating, that's an option too. More...

My friend and I came here for dinner on a Tuesday around 6PM. There were plenty of seats when we arrived but the restaurant filled up very quickly. I recommend making a res if you can. We were not able to and decided to take a chance. There are many tables that are separate stand alone tables, but there is also a long familiar style set up in the middle of the restaurant. My friend and I were seated there. It was a little close to the people next to you but not super uncomfortable. More...

His passion for food, the love he has for customers and New York is enough for me to make this one of my favorite Italian / Mediterranean restaurants in the city. But once i tried his signature dishes, made everything come full circle. Simply Amazing! Everything i had was made with perfection. Even more, at times he walks through and greets his customers. An excellent lunch special with Lori Mendorff Klugman. A very pleasant surprise! Faro and Gem salads were excellent. Carbonara was very nice : pasta cooked perfectly as was crispy pancetta,  conservatively cheesed and nice egg yolk.  This is one of the better Carbonara's we had in the US.  Cocktails and wine list not extensive but adequate.  The gnocchi were disappointing and returned.  We certainly would recommend and return.
