Pleasant face to face, though Chalk'n'Cheese did not carry out the job professionally.
Rubbish was left in my neighbour's garden, my hoover needed replacing after being used to clean up rubble, a grinder was used on the lounge wall during a shabby tiling job, the stove was not centralised to the alcove (as it was previously positioned), neither was it fitted with the legally required spacing between the walls and the stove, a mastic glue gun was used to seal the flue to the stove, the glue melted when the fire was lit filling my home with toxic fumes.
Chalk'n'cheese's reaction included two promises to attend and make good, none of which materialised, therefore I could not trust a satisfactory completion of the works.
A professional HETAS company since checked the stove installation condemning the job as an illegal health hazard.

Worst roofing job I've ever seen, put all the nails in the chipboard instead of the crosspieces leaving my stable a death trap for my horse with rows of nail ends poking through his roof, had no option but to get on stepladder and knock them all back up now will have to buy more sheets and pay someone else to do it properly, not good for an OAP.

We had Bill in to work on our Fascia board, guttering and painting of the exterior of our house. When I called Bill he turned up the same day 30 minutes later to quote up and organised everything from there. Work was completed to a fantastic standard, clean and tidy. water dripping thru conserv roof. phoned a few roofers. No answer, can come round in a week or too busy. These guys were in the area came round within half an hr. Spotted the problem within 5 mins and now the leaking has stopped. They are coming back to put rubber solution over my flat roof and sort a few slipped kent pegs over the rest of the roof. We had an emergency repair. Called three local companies that quoted a price. Chalk n Cheese came along. With no charge took their ladder from their van and climbed on the roof to identify problem. They took photos of the issue and showed me exactly what the issue was. Quoted a price and I had the job done straight away. Great price, cheaper than previous quotes and very professional. From start to finish Chalk n Cheese roofing were friendly and professional. Came the same day to give a quote, went on the roof immediately and took pictures so we could see the issues.
