Ben of Centaur Tree Services came recommended to me through a family member and National Trust Ranger who had previously employed his services in tree reduction and maintenance work. I contacted Ben via email and received a prompt reply offering to visit and assess the work required.Ben arrived when agreed, talked through what we wanted, his recommendations, and how/why the work would be carried out. Usefully a neighbour had also recently had a tree reduced (seemingly by a blind chainsaw wielding neanderthal) giving us an excellent "what not to do" comparison. A detailed quote arrived the next day, the work approved, and timings agreed.On completion we were left with a tree that whilst visibly a good deal smaller looks neater, better proportioned, healthy, and allows a great deal more light through to our garden. Most importantly, it remains looking absolutely natural. You could well imagine it simpy being a younger version of itself.Whilst there are plenty of Facebook/Gumtree/Local-paper 'experts' who will offer to trim a tree in a few hours for not a lot of money I am sold on Centaur's services being worth the extra investment. A lot of care, time, and expertise goes into their work to produce the results they do. Should we need a trim again in the future this is where we will go. More...
