I highly recommend Celebrity Cakes. Tina recently delivered beautiful and delicious cake and confections for our engagement party. She is very professional, friendly, talented and shows passion for her work. I really enjoyed the process throughout, starting from the initial consultation/ tasting of variety of cakes and confections that Tina made for me and my fiancee, chating with Tina while having a nice cup of tea and coming up with a design of our cake, to the actual final result. I loved her confections and the way she created such an elegant dessert-cake table for our engagement party with amazing and affordable decoration. The dessert table was the centre of attention of all guests as everybody were taking photos in front of it. We had Rose shaped cake pops with Elderberry/Gooseberry flavor and Rose flavor, Blueberry macaroons and Rose macaroons and Fabbri Amarena Wild Cherry and Chocolate with Sakura Jelly Tres Leches. I ordered a cupcake bouquet at very short notice for my best friends birthday. Tina was absolutely lovely, so helpful and willing to do all she could to fulfil my order.
She kept me in the loop and messaged everyday to make sure all the fine details were just as I wanted.
The result was stunning!!!
When I collected the bouquet with my partner he thought it was a bunch of real flowers and could not believe they were cakes!
The same reaction occurred when we arrived at my friends party.... everyone was blown away and thought I'd bought her a bouquet of beautiful flowers. One guest even bent to smell them they seemed so real. Even the men were impressed.
So, the actual presentation of the cup cakes was excellent but more importantly what did they taste like?
Absolutely delicious. They sponge was light and airy and gave just the right balance against the sweet fluffy buttercrram icing. All her ingredients are organic and of the best quality and you can really taste that in the baking.
Everyone wanted to take one home, so much so that we ended up cutting them in half so everyone could have a taste. Next time I will order a bigger bouquet.
I will be using this lady again and again now for all my future cake 'needs' and will have her make my wedding cake too!
Coming from a catering background within a Michelin star restaurant and hotel I am used to seeing and tasting the creme de la creme and this lady is definitely on par with them.
Only wish I could give her more than 5 stars!

What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting couples and hearing about their plans for their big day. I still get so excited about wedding and I still cry every time I watch a couple take their vows! The biggest thrill is getting to see the newly married couple's reaction when they see their wedding cake for the first time or when I receive feedback after it has been eaten and the guests realised how special it was.
I don't know of any other job where there is the level of variety as there is in being an independent cake designer and baker. I have the best job in the world and it is a privilege to be welcomed into so many peoples lives, even for the briefest of moments.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started Celebrity Cakes to share my love of the sweet life and to bring gourmet creations to discerning clients who increasingly demand premium responsibly sourced ingredients. Soft flours both wheat and gluten free and natural ingredients and fruits rather than additives and flavourings from a bottle. I believe that really great tasting cake and a passion for edible art is what sets Celebrity Cakes apart.
I began baking over twenty years ago when my daughter was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. Baking became a way of life. I started along the path of sugar art in 2011 as a form of stress relief, finally leaving my NHS career and solely concentrating on my edible art. My years of understanding gluten free were formalised by successfully completing training accredited by Coeliac UK. So you can be assured of my utmost attention if you have a special dietary request or indeed, if not.
I run an exclusive design company only taking a limited number of Wedding Cake bookings per month as I feel that the time to go that extra mile and provide excellent customer service is paramount to me. I am honoured to have won awards for my work including Confectioner Extraordinaire at the North Notts Food and Drinks Awards.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Hygiene has always been strict due to being a 5 star rated service. We've added masks and disposable consumables to our service while operating during lockdown as we are on Mansfield District Council's approved supplier list. We offer by appointment curb side collections for all the other products we make (excluding wedding cakes which are always hygienically delivered) and have been offering free of charge digital consultations via a online booking service available through the website www.celebritycakes.co.uk
All our appointments are from our exclusive private studio which is not open to the general public at any time even when not in lockdown.
