just moved all my accounts (customers) from Gridhost to Catalyst2 now email / web hosting not my thing, I look after LAN / Server / Desktops / Wireless / Sage Line50 and many other application, but my web chap buggered off and left me hi & dry ; so we had an issue with Gridhost and they would not fix, after 5 months of complaints from my customers which reflects on my service, I decided to move away from Gridhost to a new hosting and I stumbled on Catalyst2, I checked them out read the reviews and decided to move over, now they not the cheapest as I found out, I took a basic package when I was asked how much disk space my old host used which was 180Mb but when I typed it in i missed a 0 (Zero) so I was sold the 20Mb package well no sooner had I started to move my client then I hit 60Mb 80Mb and had to pay for a custom hosting at £1xx.xx per month so not the cheapest, but to be honest I have tried the cheapest and that why I'm having to move. Now to say that I found it stressful and hard going is an understatement, my customer wanted to carry on working whilst I was changing servers (a bit like changing a tyre whilst still driving!!! I know you all seen the Advertisement and it can be done) but it not easy. Catalys2 support were there on hand every step of the way, sometime it got heated and I lost it.. customer ring up complaining, complaining and complaining yet I still had to do my normal daily work, rolling out Windows Server's or fixing a VPN, PC down etc.. you all know the score.. and these guys never once lost it with me, they were professional above and beyond, mistake were made on both side but fixed quickly, the initial fault has gone, my customer are happy my phone has gone from Chernobyl in melt down to Stonehenge "no irate customer ring me" All I have to do know is pay for it... Since we moved to Catalyst2 from another server provider we've experienced only high quality customer service from the team at Catalyst2. Due to one of our large events, that saw a load of traffic to the site (and downloads) we repeatedly exceeded our bandwidth for the plan we had signed up to. The 24/7 telephone support from Catalyst2 was an absolute life-saver (a significant improvement over our previous US-based server where you either had to wait hours for an email reply or pay for a phone call). The online guides are clear and the online support, via chat and email, is highly responsive and helpful. The guys at Catalyst2 simply and quickly recovered the domain, and put the site back up on their own servers. Many many thanks for yours and all the guys help in getting this sorted out. I really cant praise Catalyst2 enough. Really fantastic service!My webmail was hosted by another company and I had all sorts of issues - trying to sort them out was a nightmare. Hours on the phone - not understanding what was being said etc etc . Very frustrating as stressful as as a small business owner constant communication is so important. I have previously had fantastic service from Catalyst 2 for my website hosting so decided to transfer everything over. It was sooooo easy! Having become dissatisfied with my previous hosting and email provider I spent some time researching alternative providers. After submitting a query and then a follow on phone call I decided to transfer my hosting and email to catalyst2. The transfer of my two domains went without a hitch. When re-instating my website a problem with asp.net security settings was quickly and effectively addressed with an on-line chat to catalyst2's support staff. On setting up my email I ran into a problem that I could not get IMAP to work on two of my devices even though it worked on five others. Again catalyst2's support chat came to the rescue and recognised the problem being with the age of my devices and their not having sufficiently up to date TLS for the secure connections - catalyst2 servers run the latest, most secure versions of TLS - my previous provider did not even offer secure email connections!One major improvement I must highlight is the effectiveness of the catalyst2 spam filtering. I have now gone from 20 to 30 very dubious spam messages to typically just 1 or 2 spam messages a day.I have no qualms in recommending catalyst2 to others. More...
