Just completed my post baby class and loved it Carla is very patient and enthusiastic which is very good as I have no coordination what so ever and Carla often had to explain things again. Carla explains that ur body needs to heal before u can loose weight which is excellent as I think there's a lot of pressure to loose the baby weight straight after! Carla's exercises are based on ur core area healing and exercising at the correct pace!! Would highly recommend it!! More...

I've been going to Carla's semi private personal training since April this year and I can't recommend her highly enough. I hadn't exercised since the days of aerobics classes 20 plus years ago and never had any experience of training with weights. I can honestly say from day one in class when I could bearly lift anything mostly due to having broken an arm and leg in my early 20's to where I am today deadlifting 55 kilos i have never enjoyed working out so much it's hard work but you get out of it what you put in. Carla is a great motivator and genuinely cares about her clients and not just in class either, she provides a friendly safe and professional environment to train in while helping each person be the best they can be. I have completed the 8 week post natal block and it was fantastic. Carla teaches the importance of rebuilding your strength and how to correctly rebuild the muscles most impacted by pregnancy (abdominal muscle separation and pelvic floor). The small class sizes are fantastic as Carla can make sure everyone is doing the exercises correctly and not doing themselves more harm than good by doing an exercise wrong (something that has put me off going to bigger group exercise classes). I really notice a difference in my strength from the 8 week block and can start to see a difference in the tension in my abdominals again.
Carla tailors the exercises to match everyone’s ability and makes sure everyone works hard but within their capability.
Another huge plus for me is the support Carla offers out with the class via the weekly check in and if you have any questions she is always happy to answer them. This support and encouragement has definitely allowed me to accept that it’s OK and normal to not go straight back into exercise levels from before being pregnant and to understand the toll pregnancy has on your body for a while (or forever!) after delivering your baby. I am looking forward to another block to keep progressing my fitness and continue working towards my goals!
