Q&As

What to eat for optimal health and wellbeing can be confusing and unnecessarily complicated. News headlines and advertisers regularly promote so called 'super foods' such as goji berries, chia seeds or turnmeric, and supplements such as omega oils and high doses of vitamins as being essential for optimal health, but these exotic and often expensive products are usually unnecessary or worse, simply don't work.

Most people just want to be healthy and understandably are worried about getting ill, or feeling better when they are unwell. The human body is so complicated that it is important to know as much as possible about your own body's food intolerances, cravings, digestive issues etc. By taking the time to work out what's best for you, and identifying the habits that influence your health will make it easier to determine what isn't right and why, you can then develop a healthy diet plan that is just right, just for you. We are all unique beings, and one-size-fits all guidelines don't work for most illnesses.

I devote a lot of my time to researching evidence based facts and separating these from fads, fallacies and too often (unfortunately) plain lies about health the benefits of certain foods and supplements.
What I love is passing this information onto my clients, customers and students so that they can make informed choices about their own health and well-being, and in turn support others to make informed choices for themselves. It's all about person centered care, regard and respect for me. A golden thread of care values runs through everything I do, whether that's supporting students to achieved their learning and career goal, or helping a client to improve their health and wellbeing through consultation. I sincerely love it all!

Following more than two decades working in the Medical, Charities, Education and Public Health sectors I felt a powerful draw towards pulling together all that I had learned, and offering a focused service to individuals looking to improve their own health, or contributing to improve the health of others. I wanted to do this by offering accessible, and affordable, education and training courses, and private consultation. I took a risk and a huge leap of faith, but I'm so glad I did!

I have a wealth of experience and expertise in the fields of health, illness and wellbeing. I've worked incredibly hard to achieve my qualifications, good health and career goals; I now want to help others achieve theirs.
