What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Every relationship is unique and it's my goal to capture every beautiful part of it in a picture.
I think it's easy for me to capture a good picture of animals because I appreciate their personalities and I want to show their beauty and perfection to the world!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Would you prefer a photo session with your pet alone or would you like you and your pet captured in a picture. We will establish if we choose one of LA's beautiful landscape or meet indoors.
What do you love most about your job?
There is something about the eyes of dogs. No matter how hard there life may have been they mirror hope, joy and love. No matter how hard my day may is, they immediately lift up my spirit. This is I can't spend my time better than taking their pictures.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am working with numerous rescue organizations and animal shelters in Los Angeles and help putting dogs into the right light to get adopted quicker.
In the little time I spend with each dog, I listen to their stories, build a relationship to be able to capture each unique personality in a pictures which speaks louder than words.
I also take pictures of people with their dogs to provide the monumental proof of the special connection between dogs and their humans.

European actress Barbara Wilder is an internationally published journalist, writer and photographer. Her love for dogs inspired her to pursue the picture series "rescue dogs in ties" in cooperation with the tie company Antonio Steffano, a clothing brand which donates 49% of its profits to abused dogs. Barbara Wilder is open to inquiries for everyone who needs dogs and pet photography services.
