My son Leon aged 12, has been taking guitar lessons from Lou for almost 2 years. Lou has an incredible way of reading Leon’s mood and can totally change the approach of a lesson to get the best out of him on any given day.
He is patient and has an obvious passion for the instrument.
I also have been learning after many years break and am learning so much more having Lou as a teacher than I could teach myself at home.
Coming home in the car after last week’s lesson, Leon said ‘I think Lou is the best teacher I’ve ever had for anything.’

At 56 years old I decided to progress with a life long ambition to play a musical instrument, I genuinely did feel I might be to old to take up the challenge of learning to play the guitar, but with help and plenty of encouragement from Lou I have now been attending lessons since last September.
Lou has a genuine passion for both playing and teaching and has the patients of a saint - thankfully !!!!.
I feel I am progressing nicely and have a guitar playing friend who is very impressed with the progress I am making, most importantly I look forward to my lessons.
I would encourage anyone thinking of learning to play the guitar to contact Lou and take on his words of wisdom.

I have only just begun attending guitar lessons with Lou, but already I feel I am making great progress. Having tried to teach myself to play for a while now with limited success, Lou is helping to create order out of chaos! He is able to pick out what I need to learn and combines music theory with practice in a relevant and meaningful way. Lou also gives wise advice regards the purchasing of equipment and is prepared to go the extra mile to help out with tricky guitar tablature. My son and daughter have been attending lessons for over a year now and was so impressed with their playing that I decided to take up the skill myself. Lou is enthusiastic with what he teaches and clearly knows his stuff I would have to say that there is nothing that he can not answer (Well nothing that I have asked so far anyway). Lou does a great job of inspiring you with such a wide range of styles and song choices. He is honest with identifying your weaknesses and will continue to improve those weaknesses with every visit. If you have a particular area of interest or queries just ask, Lou will tailor the lesson around your requirements without any issues. It is also not just straight forward playing that you receive to be a guitar pro, you will also be taught a comprehensive understanding of guitar theory as well to understand the complexities around the mystery’s of the fret board.
