How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
You must check your property lines. You need 6-10 feet setbacks from your neighbors property. You also need parking.

Land Survey, Drawings, Architectural plans, engineering plans, Title 24, demolition and start the work.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
First, visit the zoning department at City Hall. Make sure there is a land survey done within 50 years.
