I looked at several venues before touring this venue and instantly knew this was the one for us the moment we walked through the entrance. It was like entering a whole different world the moment you step foot onto the property. I loved how the drive there is kind of like being in the middle of nowhere and you have no idea what to expect. The greenery leading to the bridal falls was so beautiful. I love how the trees cover the whole space and the lights look so beautiful at night. We loved how the venue has different spaces to hold different parts of the wedding. There's so many different possibilities for each space. Our wedding coordinator was Barbara and there's nothing but amazing and great things that I can say about her! She cares about every bride and will turn all of their ideas into reality. My husband is in the military and she was also so flexible and understanding about every circumstance and every schedule I had. Also, this venue is military friendly and gave us a military discount! Towards the last few months before the wedding, I moved to SoCal and she worked with me and made sure everything was taken care of and that we were on the same page about everything. I had an idea for my ceremony entrance and even when it was never done before, she made it happen. This venue and Barbara is the reason I wasn't stressed about the wedding. All of our guests absolutely loved our wedding and were so amazed by the venue. I would recommend this venue to all of our family and friends and any bride! More...

We attended a baby shower here and felt like we had been transported to a different land! I had no idea this hidden gem was so close to home. They've done a wonderful job of landscaping and maintaining the grounds. If you're looking for an event space, this one is beautiful. My son married his best friend and soul mate there last night!! I've been to lots of weddings, this was by far, the best Venue EVER! !! Very organized, friendly people. Most beautiful venue also. It was a very hot day yesterday, but with all the trees giving shade, it wasn't as bad. Everyone who attended seemed to have a blast. The DJ we hired said it was his first time there also. We never would have thought that because the coordinator worked perfectly with him. He loved it there also. They together, made Mike & Brittany's wedding perfect!!! Highly recommend them. More...

From the spectacular staff and meticulously kept grounds, Brownstone was the perfect joining of venue and atmosphere that left our friends and family in the feeling of pure astonishment. Barbara and her staff were exceptional in keeping the reception moving and coordinating the logistics of having multiple vendors and a large guest count to manage. My wife and I were so confident in their work even leading up to the wedding that we never stressed about anything during our 5-hour celebration. And if not breaking a sweat during such a crucial moment in our life says anything, then I don't know what a higher recommendation is.Our coordinator, Barbara, was always communicative, fastidious of her work, and masterfully open to how we wanted our wedding to be fully imagined. She took our ideas, helped us out on what she has seen historically work, and executed them on our night without a hitch. Our table settings, wedding programs, dance floor, dueling pianos, bar, photo booth, ceremony seating, aisle décor, seating arrangement, buffet line, wedding cake, cupcake table, cocktail hour, theme colors, and lighting were just perfect. They took incredible care of us.Brownstone Gardens Estate itself is an oasis. It has a huge parking lot to accommodate a lot of guests. There’s a phone charging station. Having the extra bridal room was super useful when the bride and I had to change to our various outfit throughout the night. The living garden area where we had our ceremony is a fairytale setting. There was never a time when I looked away from my wife and I didn’t see one of our guests taking photos of the waterfalls or trees or lights, or at least incorporating focal points of Brownstone into their photos. We had our first look at the koi gardens which was also picturesque. The tree canopy in bridal falls is not only beautiful but keeps the temperature down. The day of our wedding the temperature was 95° at noon but under the canopy felt about 10° cooler, with that figure dropping rapidly as the night wore on. So, we planned our wedding to start later in the evening at 5pm to compensate. No big deal. By the time it was 8pm it was 70°. It still amazes me that given such a large complex and large group of people, the staff could easily move everyone from one part of the venue onto the next seamlessly.A lot of guests came up to us and complimented on how beautiful the wedding was. But honestly, when you have a place like Brownstone Gardens as the backdrop, they make it easy. More...

Brownstone was the first venue we had visited and we completely fell in love with all the outdoors areas + gorgeous garden - it was exactly what we were looking for! ! We had a pleasure of working with Barbara and she was so so amazing!!! So on top of everything and always so patient with my million and one questions - she really helped ease any anxiety leading up to the day! As a wedding vendor, we at American Vintage Rentals have provided vintage rentals and farm tables, for couples getting married here. Being located in Oakley, Brownstone Gardens is somewhat "off-the-beaten-path, so it might be considered a "destination wedding" venue? We found it to be a lovely garden venue, complete with waterfall and a multi-level, terraced patio, and trees filled with lights and lanterns. It offers a cool respite of shade with the water features on a hot, summer day, and the night spent under the lights seems like pure magic! My husband I got married here in July 2014. We had been shopping around for our wedding venue when we came across Brownstone Gardens and we immediately knew this was the place. My husband always says he never dreamed of being married in such a beautiful place. I really wanted and outdoor venue with twinkly lights....and man they have a bunch of twinkly lights. You would never expect such a magical place when you drive up to it. Everything about it is beautiful. All the staff were very helpful and especially Kay Kay, Diana and Barbara. These ladies worked with me through the planning up until the very end of the wedding day. They have so many great resources for different vendors and ideas to make your wedding amazing. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't of had the "A-Team" working my wedding. (photographers, Dj, Florist, Cakes, etc.) Not only were they very helpful during the planning process, but when it came to the wedding day, they were awesome. If something needed to be moved or this was a last min stressor or change, they were on top of it. They were quick, efficient, and professional. I will definitely recommend this venue to anyone I know getting married. It is simply gorgeous, and they are constantly updating their grounds (not like they need it because it is beautiful already) but they really strive to make every couple happy. I dont know how many compliments we got saying how beautiful the venue was. Great venue, great people, great resources. So happy we got married at Brownstone. They do other events there too... I may just have to think of another event to have just to go back. More...

Our daughter was married at Brownstone in June 2013. All the details were taken care of prior to the event. As the mother of the bride, this was a stress free event for me. The wedding coordinator handled everything that had to do with the ceremony and the reception. All I had to do was enjoy the ceremony and enjoy the party. All who attended loved the beauty and the peacefulness of the Gardens and continued to compliment the event center the entire evening. I'm coming up on my third anniversary now, and our wedding was so beautifully handled that I still wish I could do it again. The staff was wonderful, especially Barbara, who came to the rescue when we realized the garter had been left at home (eeek!). They brought our meals directly to us so we didn't have to stand in line with everybody else, and kept fetching us more champagne every time our glasses emptied for the same reason. Other than the minor garter mishap, everything flowed together so wonderfully. A bride should never have to worry about anything on that special day, and the folks at Brownstone Gardens certainly know how to take care of things. (Invisibly, I might add. I hardly saw anyone other than Barbara)

The environment was magical, feeling like my own personal fairytale retreat. If I could do it again, I would definitely choose Brownstone Every. Single. Time. More...

I knew Brownstone Gardens was a +5 star venue from the start. And I can truly say now over a year later, and getting married there on 10/18/14 all the hard work to have our wedding there was priceless! The staff is amazing and really puts forth true effort to make your day exactly how you want it! Not to mention we had the top photographers (Discovery Bay Studios) and Dj (Mike Vincent) to go along with the Top Venue in the area! Our wedding was beautiful and we got SO many compliments from all of our guests that our food was amazing (Wilma Lott Catering) and music was fun along with the whole entire night being Fun, Beautiful, and "the best wedding ever"!!!! Eric and I instantly fell in love with Brownstone Gardens after our walk through with Barbara seeing how gorgeous this venue was. I knew I wanted to get married here when I saw Discovery Bay Studios photos. We made an appointment with Barbara but had no idea how stunning it was until we saw it in person. We didn't look at any other venues & booked with Brownstone. It was the perfect fit. Our wedding day was beautiful we didn't have to worry about anything, they had everything set up perfectly & my stress was over once Barbara Dumont took over. They were super organized & such a professional staff. Everything flowed & nothing went wrong. I wasn't even home yet & had messages from friends & family that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Some said they have lived here for years and had no idea it was even there or how beautiful it was on the inside. Barbara got hurt right before the wedding & was in a boot, but it didn't stop her from making our dreams come true! Such an outstanding woman & such a beautiful venue. On October 16, it had stormed miserably the whole week previously (unlike the previous October here in Oakley). Where I wanted the ceremony was flooded, my husband was upset and I have Jordan and the other gals there to console me and rectify the situation the weather had force us to face.
It was amazing - in combination with some creative people in my party, the ceremony was moved to a different area and still came together beautifully.
The passion they show for their guests is remarkable.

It was suggested to me that I check this venue for my wedding by a close friend this past February. After emailing with Barbara and coming to see the venue in person my decision was made- this was the place. The venue is perfect for small and large events and has multiple areas for you to choose from. It is all outdoors so if you want coverage you'll need to have a separate vendor for tents, but it can be done. I had my wedding on November 5th, 2016. It was a risk we well understood because we decided to forgo any tenting. Luckily the weather was gorgeous, cool but not freezing. I had a morning wedding and arrived at the venue right before nine where I was directed to the Brides room where I was able to gather my bridesmaids, see family, and get in my dress. I could've come and used the room much earlier if needed and done everything to get ready there, they were more than accommodating in that regard. There's a good sized bathroom, a small fridge with water, a large mirror, and a lounge and a couple chairs which was more than enough since we weren't really doing much sitting anyway. Barbara was excellent, she met my needs for a smaller wedding and made sure everything went well. We had drawn up an outline for the day but she was always flexible with changing from that and was great at letting me know what time it was and what was planned next. My ceremony started at 10 and we immediately moved to the reception and everything ended at 2pm. It was wonderful.
My only negatives are that I wish I could've set the rehearsal date more than 30 days in advance and had it guaranteed, my coordinator changed twice, and I wish they hadn't cleared the food when we still had an hour left.
We used Ron as our DJ and he was amazing and easy to work with.
They took my decorations the night of the rehearsal and I didn't have to worry about a thing. All in all it was great. More...
