Branching out took on a big task when we contracted them to cut a seriously overgrown Leylandii hedge. In some areas it was 7 mtr tall . The hedge is a living barrier between two private developments and the decision was to cut it down to 5 mtr tall and trim the sides. I was recommended to use Dan at Branching to remove a willow tree from my garden. Dan and his co worker had the tree down and removed in short order, cleaned up so no evidence remained, perfect! We had 4 beech trees and a laurel removed from our front garden. The trees were very difficult to maintain, very very tall and blocking the light to our living room. Dan came to look at the trees and offer some advice about whether to cut them back or remove them. Several of them were quite badly decayed in the trunks so that, along with the inconvenience of maintenance, we made up our minds to get them removed. Dan and Rich removed all the trees and left everything very neat & tidy. They kindly offered some wood us to use next winter on the log burner and even cut it up with the chainsaw as we don’t have one. Dan also offered options for replacing a hedge or other options to provide privacy/ encourage wildlife. We have left it empty at the moment as we’re thinking of adding a bike shed. What do you love most about your job?
I love nature, being outdoors, doing something very tangible that wil help other people and of cours, being paid a wage. I am very privileged to get paid for something I love doing. Trees are amazing and need looking after ??
What inspired you to start your own business?
It all started about 20 years ago doing a gardening round for old folk and wasnt until 14 years ago when we had our 1st daughter, that I decided to retrain, getting tickets as well as going to Northampton every Monday evening to obtain my theory qualifications, which my interest have continued ever since.
Being self employed is a constant joy and a challenge, but my Business and Marketing HND from UWE put me in good stead.
I love the freedom and flexibilty it gives me for a great quality of life and saves me going tomthd gym. I’ve worked with and for, some lovely people ??
Why should our clients choose you?
Well theres a question. In all honesty im a great believer that “people buy people”. Im only geared up really for domestic work and love working with folk to bring more light and space to their gardens as well as making their trees more healthy.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We”ve been lucky as we work outside, although have been affected by a big loss in revenue, thankfully the government has been hellpful through this time.
When I quote, I’ll offer a card but explain that I understand if you dont take one at this time. I’ll wear a mask if I fee I need to or are requested to and will always keep social distncing.
Onsite, the team will arrive in seprate vehicles and try to maintain distancing through the day, there shouldn’t be a need to come into the house but may come into the loo ??
Tree stump removal
Once the tree has been cut to ground level, with the right size machine for the job, depending on access, We can ground out the stump to either just below ground level or completly so that you can re-plant in the exact spot. All the risings are left in situ. And all areas left neat and tidy.
I do not do much planting but recomend this company they offer excelent advise on plants and trees, it is well worth having a tea, coffee or lunch in there yurt after covid.
