I’ve never experienced such unprofessional as we did from Lee last weekend. We own a venue and we’ve recommended this company on many occasions, but this weekend, I had to take my mother’s cellphone and speak to him myself after hearing him yell at and insult my mom. I feel that we’re owed an apology from the owner, specifically, an apology to my mother and the mother of the bride. After his attitude and the condition of the tent he sent out, with rips, tears, holes and major discoloration due to dirt and mud on the curtain panels, he absolutely will not be invited back for future event. Lee, I truly hope you learn to control your temper and send out better quality items for your future events. I look forward to NOT working with you in the future. I recently had a party at my home and rented a tent, dance floor, and table linens. Tiffany (owner), Jessica (Event Manager) and Brittany (event Administrative Assistant) came out to my home to discuss my vision, needs and measure for the tent as well as discuss options. They were extremely professional and helpful. Their set up crew led by Noah came out a couple of days before my party. Noah came back several times to check and replace light bulbs. My now husband and I hired Box K Events for our wedding on December 18th, 2021 after being recommended to us by our venue. We were originally planning on renting lighting, table linens, bars, and small round table for our big day with a tent on hand for potential bad weather since we were having an outdoor wedding. Tiffany was absolutely incredible to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was highly responsive to our messages, was incredibly helpful in planning, and answered about a million questions that we had. Even when we had torrential rain in the forecast for our outdoor wedding, we texted Tiffany the week of, and she was incredibly helpful in helping us re-plan our wedding and renting the tent. We were told that the tent would have a guttering system to keep our guests warm and dry. While the communication was wonderful prior to our event, the big day did not go to plan. The Box K crew moved all of the tables and chairs that were already set up for our event out of the way and never moved these things back into their original location. Actually, they left these items in the rain so that we later had to dry them off and set everything up again. They also used some of our chairs as stepping stools to set up the tent, leaving muddy footprints on the chairs that we were using for our reception. Again, something that we had to clean up ourselves. Further, the guttering system that we paid for on our tent was only 10 feet (or supposedly 10 feet, looked more like 6-7 ft to me personally), which was not disclosed to us when we paid for the tent, and actually exacerbated the problem when the area under the tent flooded. The small round table we rented? That was placed in the wrong location on the property, making our wedding planner drag this table through the rain to the proper location. Lastly, we paid for the labor to set tablecloths on all tables. This also was not performed. While the weather already placed a big wrench in our day, the services promised and performed by Box K were not up to our and their standards while also adding to the workload of the bridal party, family members, and even other vendors to correct their mistakes and negligence. I am incredibly happy to be married (apparently, a heck of a lot of rain equals a heck of a lot of good luck?). And honestly, the only reason I am giving a two star review rather than a one star is that we voiced our concerns and grief with Tiffany and Lee, who then proceeded to hear us out over a 45 minute phone call. They reimbursed us for the services not performed, which does say quite a bit about their integrity. While we had horrible weather for our wedding day, the problems that we had on our wedding day was not only the weather, but negligence, ignorance, and a lack of communication by this company. After our phone call, I sincerely hope that our wedding is used as an example and wake up call to the Box K crew, igniting a new drive to achieve a higher level of standards and professionalism. We worked with Box K Events for several aspects of my daughter's wedding and they gave top rate service and superior products on everything. They helped me create a fairy tale environment with lights and draping inside the main tent. Two staff members from Box K came to the venue ahead of time to meet with the venue staff and myself to make sure we all were on the same page.
