I heartily recommend Bowman Yacht Charters and Captain Heckstall in particular. I've done some sailing and own a sloop rigged boat in the US. I was highly impressed with Captain Heckstall's skills and professionalism. The was a fair bit of wind when we went out, but my wife and I never felt less than perfectly safe. Cyprian (Captain Heckstall) provided lots of history tidbits about Falmouth and its maritime traditions.

For sailors and non-sailors alike, sailing the Channel and getting a pretty decent rendition of "Ladies of Spain" is a real treat. More...

My wife and I stayed on the Bowman for 3 nights. Although the weather was a little up and down due to hurricane Ophelia, we had an incredible experience learning all about the boat and how to sail. Cyprian knows everything there is to know about sailing and is calm in his approach when teaching you how to handle his pride and joy! Not only that, but the experience is completely tailored to your needs and desires. The boat is beautiful and well looked after, in fact, we had the best sleep we've ever had in the double bed! We couldn't recommend Bowman Yacht Charters highly enough and can not wait to return next year. Thank you Cyprian for sharing your love for sailing with us, it was life changing! More...
