Excellent facility and very professional working environment. It is a joy to turn up to a studio and the drum kit sounds heavy straight away. I have used the Ludwig kit there and my own kit and both sounded great. The live room was very suitable for recording drums and a lot of time and effort seems to have gone into the acoustics. When I booked the studio...I spoke to Neil...who couldn't have been more helpful...explaining in depth what the studio had to offer. ..I was particularly interested in the extremely high quality of the mics (as a vocalist)...as Neil forewarned me...he and his partner were expecting a baby around the date...so the engineer might be Erik.As it turned out it was Erik...and he was really sharp...knowledgable and enthusiastic...we cut 4 tracks...3 of which are on my latest album...about to come out later this month.I had booked other musicians...one of which had come from LA...so the session needed to be tight and productive...and it was...a really special day.I have no hesitation in recommending Bowerman studios for the relaxed but efficient atmosphere...fabulous equipment and the technical knowhow of those that work there...and most of all...the end results...which I was more than happy and satisfied with...if there were more than 5 stars to fill in...I would fill them in! I had a great experience there and am definitely going to come back.. I had Neil as my engineer, he couldn't have been more helpful and professional at his job as well as being a top bloke who you can have a laugh with. .we got a lot done in a short amount of time and i was very happy with the final result. He used a great mic for my voice, put it through some tasty gear and made it sound brilliant in the mix.. As well as recording some acoustic stuff, I also had a dubstep production mixed there and was extremely impressed with that too... I highly recommend Bowerman Studios..it was a very enjoyable experience all round, great equipment, really reasonably priced with winning results to show from it :-) More...
