Black and Milk is the best interior designer studio to work with if you are thinking to renovate your place. We were skeptical in the beginning to work with them since they are located in London and we live in New Jersey, USA but everything worked out better than expected. Olga and Anatoly made a few trips to the U.S., they developed the whole design and hired contractors, who they were able to manage from London. When I and my girlfriend bought a luxury waterfront condo (1,500 sq feet), we didn’t plan to make a lot of renovations since the building is only 6 years old. But when Olga shared her designer’s look and showed what our apartment may look like we were blown away. Olga found the ways to expand the closets’ space (x3 times more than what we), which I thought would be impossible. The lighting that Olga came up with is amazing. Finally we have enough light in each room with different options of dimming. In terms of the furniture, Olga was very accommodating and took our preferences in consideration by providing multiple variations of set up for each room. Most of the furniture is custom-made with a very good quality and an amazing look. The project is still in progress but I just wanted to share this review and thank Anatoly and Olga for all the work they’ve done. They went above and beyond our expectations, they were always available and cooperative and Olga’s creativity is a top-notch. If you want your place to stand out and have a modern luxury look, I would definitely recommend Black and Milk. We are still waiting on some pieces of furniture to come along with the kitchen. Anatoly and Olga are simply great! On the creative side, Olga has been invaluable in helping us design and come up with a look and feel for our new apartment – very modern without being “luxury hotel-commercial”. Her eye for detail, scale and proportion is also impeccable. In fact, my wife and I would go so far as to say she is more demanding on getting things right for our apartment than we are! She would also suggest ideas and products that we otherwise would never have considered which was great and paid huge dividends to the final look of our apartment! Anatoly, on the other hand, micro-managed the entire implementation of our project efficiently and always with complete transparency – he basically handled all the nitty gritty details that we all dread (especially given that we are based overseas) and followed the project through in terms of timing and budgeting. He even went so far as to get our apartment ready with temporary furniture during our visits to London whilst the apartment was still a work in progress! I hired Black & Milk because I knew their speciality was designing for new build flats and other smaller spaces - in this case a 1,300 square foot white box in Hammersmith. What I loved about working with them wasn't just their passion and vision, but that they really embraced how I wanted to use the space and what would work best for my family. Olga and Anatoly work directly with furniture makers so many of the pieces in this project are custom, designed specifically for the smaller proportions of city living. We were not easy clients. We are now nearing completion of our project and B&M have been just exceptional. They are always professional but also very personable and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with them. Olga is the brain behind the design and Anatoly makes it all happen. Olga has the most amazing taste. She not only helped us create a stunning flat but also managed to increase our storage space by 40%! She always brought brilliant ideas to the table and was very patience with us all throughout the creative process. We trusted her 100% and were incredibly impressed with the quality and uniqueness of the pieces that she suggested for us, some even being bespoke. Our hat goes off to Anatoly. He is very thorough and has made this a stress-free experience for us, which is quite an achievement! He dealt with all the suppliers and overcame all logistics and last-minute challenges.
