I am a neuroscientist and a senior lecturer at a UK Medical School. My therapy (Autonomic Cognitive Rehabituation Training: ACRT) is based on 20 years of my scientific research, which has been primarily applied to treatment of neurological conditions. However, anxiety and stress management is a key component of my therapy. The therapy focuses on breaking established maladaptive brain-body mechanisms through which anxiety and emotional disturbance may be maintained.
