Beautiful setting for a wedding. One of the best cocktail hour spots I've seen. Reception under the tent was a lot of fun. The portable bathroom trailer was nice, but ran out of water early and the toilets would not flush and the sinks would not run. More...

We were very lucky to be able to find this venue. I really wanted a place that was able to take all the stressful parts of wedding party off my plate. I had booked the venue over a year in advance and the communication was always on key. Melissa, Matt and their team made sure that all the details were taken care of. Melissa was very kind and patient with me and my a million and one questions. She was very knowledgeable about the property and you could tell that she has done this before with her professionalism. A little over a month before the wedding we began discussing the details with our month of Coordinator Alyssa. She was definitely a god-send. She knew exactly what our vision was and did everything she could to make the weekend go so smoothly. Her professionalism and eagerness to make our day special could be seen from a mile away. My family even got to know who she was and kept saying she is working really hard for this day as if it was her own! She truly knows her role and did everything she could and took away all the hard parts and allowed us to enjoy the moment to the fullest. Of course there were things that didn't go right the day of with some of our other vendors, but she made sure to offer alternatives and made me feel so secure and comfortable that the day will go smoothly.

The venue was exceptionally beautiful and my family continues to rave on how amazing everything turned out. The house was very clean and came equipped with many items to help you get through the weekend. It was exactly what I wanted: a weekend for our families to blend and get to know each other and celebrate our new lives together. This special day could not have been such a success with every single person on the Bellewood Plantation team who made me feel like we were all family. The grounds were kept clean and we even had a team come the morning of to keep the grounds neat and dry.

I am a local wedding planner with Events by Krystle, and I have done a couple of weddings at the Bellewood now, and they were absolutely beautiful! The drive up to the venue is amazing, and there is plenty of parking for your guests. The couples are responsible for obtaining their own vendors, such as licensed Caterers, Photographers, and a Dj. The best part of the venue is that they have a décor package, which is perfect for destination weddings or local events. There is so much to choose from! You can rent all of their decor, and just have your florist bring flowers!! Melissa, the venue coordinator, is great to work with and she has a lot of helpful suggestions. We have been to Bellewood Plantation on many occasions, and have never had a bad experience. Melissa, the manager, is outstanding. She’s extremely knowledgeable in all things events - especially weddings - and really goes out of her way to ensure her guests receive all of their wishes. I don't even know where to begin. Everyone was telling me how stressful wedding planning was, but thanks to Melissa I can honestly say there was nothing stressful about the planning and the event at all.

The venue was beautiful. Perfectly maintained, everything was in fantastic condition and several guests told me that they felt the venue was straight out of a movie. Our photographers were ecstatic because of the tons of amazing photo opportunities across the properties and everything is so beautiful that we were able to keep the decor to a minimum and just show off how pretty the venue is.

As far as Melissa (our wedding coordinator) was concerned, I don't think I could ever have asked for a better coordinator. She went above and beyond for our wedding, suggested fantastic vendors who all knew her and love working with her and during the day of the wedding, she was both invisible and there whenever we needed her. My husband and I started referring to her as the Wedding Ninja because she was just that good.

We stayed at the house for 3 nights (2 nights before the wedding and on the night of) and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful inside as well. We had such a blast, cooking as a group, playing board games, hanging out by the fire pit outside and watching movies.

Basically, I have no criticism or wouldn't change a thing. Melissa made us feel comfortable, she helped us plan an incredibly beautiful and successful wedding and did it in a way that we knew we were in good hands. We trusted the vendors she recommended and it was such a seamless event, I would do it all over again. More...
