I had no idea what I was about to go into when I finally met up with Bellamy Saville (who is lovely) and had the true pleasure of finally working with her. You see, I've had my eye on her work for over a year (watching others showcasing their shots done by her). When I manifested funds and made my consultation with her prior to the shoot (this is someone coming from struggling time to time with lack of income, lack of hours at work despite multiple side jobs, working minimum wage rates, etc...), and met up with her, I was literally blown away. And before I go into my review, let me tell you, her rates are really great considering it's industry level. Even if you find it's not in your budget, save up for her until you do, as well as hair and makeup (will get into why it should be included in your photoshoot in a moment). She is worth it and is the real deal. In her consultation, Bellamy gets to know you and questions you into doing research on what you are going for with your essence (especially when you break down yourself into your main types-example: girl next door, nurturer, etc...). After you reveal what you want, she hands you a plethora list of wardrobe suggestions that is very direct and will make you bring out that specific essence in its true form (wardrobe highlights the accent and dialect of that specific type). Upon the day of the shoot, you are immediately taken care of. I had a hair/makeup artist on board, Mary C. Rogers (she is also lovely), who helped out with Bellamy. Now, in the past, I was always trained to look exactly like my headshots, and because of this, I used to fear getting a hair/makeup artist for my shoot due to the fact that I couldn't replicate that make-up for auditions. Bellamy and Mary immediately erased that fear. Having a hair/make-up artist (especially one that knows what they are doing, Mary definitely does) is to get you camera ready in your representation for your industry when you start submitting for work and putting your team together (agent, manager, publicist, etc...). Treat your photoshoot like set. The decision makers/gate keepers will know that you won't have the exact hair and makeup replicated, but they will have a better idea how you will look on camera for the role they are casting. Bellamy gives her best on each take (I will repeat, Bellamy gives her best on each take). She is an educator as well as a photographer (she knows the industry being in front of and behind the camera). She knows about the lens, framework,, lighting, and communicates great language with Mary for each look with hair and makeup (they truly take care of you and keep an eye out for anything out of place as you are shot, just like on set)! Bellamy will converse with you on the industry and she will tell you why things work the way they do. Trust that she knows what she talks about. I received my footage. Every single shot was crystal clear, beautiful, and despite time passing this month, I'm still having a hard time with which one I want to showcase first because every single one of them is awesome. I shot with Bella for the first time yesterday, and it was a really great experience. Weeks before the shoot, we were collaborating and discussing my branding and coordinating wardrobe, which helped me prepare SO much and feel confident and ready for the day of the shoot. Bella also took a look at my current ActorsAccess and LA Casting profiles and gave me her opinion on which looks I was missing, based on what types of roles I play. She hit the nail on the head! (Bella's background in casting and relationship with reps gives her that same edge and insight.)On the day of the shoot, Bella was easygoing and collaborative. Jordan, one of Bella's makeup artists, is a friend of mine and does great hair and makeup. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was that Bella had a large monitor that showed the frames we shot in real time, so I could self adjust or ask Jordan to change a hair or makeup thing. This allowed me to look at what we were shooting and say, "yeah that's what I'm going for" or "that's not quite how I'd show up for an audition". I've shot with Bella so many times and she's still my favorite to shoot with. It's just so easy to get your ideas across and you feel like you're working as a team. I've tried other photographers and I'm still always happier with the results I get with her. I love working together with her and Mary (MUAH), they know how to make you feel great and look great.Plus her office is so comfy and has wonderful light. My 1st time taking Headshots and it was THE BEST experience EVER! This lady knows how to really bring out the best in you and capture it on camera! Skip other photographers and book with Bella! I strongly suggest booking Mary to do your make-up too. She never makes u look cakey, the make up she used didn't aggitate my skin, and honestly she just enhanced my features instead of completely making me look like someone else. It's nice to know that I'll always look like my headshots instead of another version of myself that'll be hard to recreate on my own. I'll just start by saying, I hate getting headshots done. I stress about it every time and by the time I arrive I'm a bundle of nerves. However, my experience with Bella Saville Photography was hands down one of the best sessions I've ever had. Her studio is very warm and inviting. Not intimidating or stuffy at all. The day before she sent me a very helpful wardrobe guide with photo examples (which was a lifesaver), and upon arriving we went through my wardrobe to create looks based on what I wanted from the shoot and also what my agent was looking for. It felt great to be heard. She was also super honest and knowledgeable about what worked and what didn't and why. Loving my shots with Bella! I'm the busiest I've been in a long time! She has a knack for putting her clients at ease and takes all the stress out of the typical headshot session (at least for me). She was able to catch a wide variety of looks in a short time and all images are perfectly on-brand. Great Job! After careful study and research of many different photographers, cost, location and availability I choose Bella Saville! Bella has experience in casting and on the manager side as well, so she was more "in the know" about character type and expressions than other photogs' who have never been actors before. Bella does headshots as her main specialty. This is really important because I didn't feel rushed; only welcomed. I've been in the game awhile, and I'm tired of overpriced photogs who really only want to shoot commercials for 6 figures and have clip'ish attitude at an actors session. Bella was great! I talked to Bella by phone about what I wanted and my session went very smooth. Her studio has high vaulted ceilings, great bathroom, wardrobe rack and separate vanity. Just had the best headshot shoot ever. Bella is so detailed and hands on with her actors. Her passion and knowledge for her craft really shows and made me super comfortable. After going to Bella for headshots myself I have referred many friends in the industry. Seeing the difference in the number of auditions they received with their prior headshots vs. her shots is proof in itself that they work. Some TRIPLED THEIR AUDITIONS after posting their new headshots for submissions.

Bella made shooting my new headshots a breeze! She's got a brand-new studio set up in Studio City, very accessible from Ventura Blvd area. She's got modern equipment, a fantastic camera, and a lot of knowledge - I went in expecting someone that was just starting out and instead I saw a level of professionalism and expertise that blew me away.
